Last updated 2025-03-21

Rossy is an NPC on Jarilo-VI, located in the Hotel Lobby of the Goethe Hotel in the Administrative District.

Profile

Rossy is the son of Belobog's current Minister of Culture and Education, Bova. He spends most of his time ruminating on Belobog's current affairs — and occasionally lecturing about the sad state of the world — though as a member of the Rightful Rights Society, he sometimes helps fellow members as well.

Dialogue

(First interaction)
Rossy: *sigh* Have you read today's Crystal Daily? What kind of news is that!? If the media keeps going on like this, Belobog will eventually be doomed.
Icon Dialogue Arrow Are you talking to me?
Rossy: Of course. Who else would I be talking to? Do I look like someone who talks to himself in the street? It's not like I'm old man Dominic.
Icon Dialogue Arrow What does that have to do with me?
Rossy: We share a home. It's called Belobog. How can you call yourself a citizen of Belobog if you don't even care about the news in our city?
Rossy: Look at the front page of the Crystal Daily. The content that the newspaper puts out is just junk, tabloid-level stuff. What's going on in their heads? Can you really put this stuff on the front page? I'm about to blow a gasket here!
Icon Dialogue Arrow You don't have to make it sound so extreme.
Rossy: I bet you're not someone who follows the news. Anyone who is ambitious should pay attention to the world and think more, like I do. That way they can contribute to the development of Belobog!
Icon Dialogue Arrow You sure seem to have plenty of time on your hands.
Rossy: Hey, I'm making a reasonable suggestion, alright? Belobog is getting better because of people like me — people who keep offering their insight!
Rossy: Hmm, you really don't know anything. How about I give you a lecture right now!
(Continue onto dialogue options below)

(Subsequent interactions)
Rossy: Jeez, have a look at this! Even the advertisement in the middle column of this newspaper is annoying... I've got to say something!
Icon Dialogue Talk I'm listening...
Rossy: Here, let me show you how to read this newspaper...
Icon Dialogue Talk What's the paper say?
Rossy: Listen to this malarkey: "Today, the Minister of Culture and Education, Mr. Bova, attended..."
Rossy: Oh wait, Bova is my father... *cough* Let's look at the next one.
Rossy: "Head of the Limesteins shares the family's corporate culture, 'Cultivating a direwolf spirit to come together and transcend limitations.'"...
Rossy: Are you hearing this nonsense? What's this, "direwolf spirit"? He is encouraging young people to work themselves to an early grave. This Limestein is trying to squeeze them for their labor so the Limesteins can keep up their lavish lifestyles!
Rossy: *sigh* It's all tricks...
Rossy: Judging from your garish outfit, I suppose you're some rich kid who couldn't possibly appreciate the hardships normal people face. Whatever. People like you typically don't get it anyway.
Icon Dialogue Arrow Huh, why do you think I'm a rich kid?
Rossy: Did I hit the nail on the head? You should develop some empathy so that you can see all the world's troubles like me...
Icon Dialogue Arrow Aren't you also a rich kid — as the son of a government official?
Rossy: I'm not like this Limestein guy. What? Does being the son of an official automatically put someone above the common people? That's an unacceptable stereotype!
(Both choices lead to the following responses.)
Icon Dialogue Arrow Alright. You've got a point.
Icon Dialogue Arrow I think you're just bored.
Rossy: Hey, I have my own problems, too. Okay?
Rossy: Never mind. It's useless trying to explain it to you. People your age don't know the meaning of independent thinking...
Icon Dialogue Talk You have a problem with everyone, don't you?
Rossy: It's just common angst, don't you get it? Never mind. Let's just continue reading the news.
Rossy: ...Get a load of this guy. Check out what's on the third page. It kills me! "Belobog's outer ring heating system continues to malfunction. Now recruiting emergency repair workers"...
Rossy: They sure have tough skin, printing something like this. The Overworld's heating system has always been a headache with its constant need for repairs.
Rossy: Emergency repairs are nothing more than temporary fixes. We can survive the Eternal Freeze. The problem is all this busy work isn't going to solve the real issue. Is all this effort really worth it?
Rossy: The way I see it, Belobog Heating Corporation shouldn't be trusted! The Supreme Guardian should step in and revamp all of the city's heating pipes!
Rossy: If the people at Belobog Heating can't figure out such a simple problem, then leave it to me!
Icon Dialogue Arrow I'm sure they reached this conclusion after weighing all the costs.
Rossy: Hmph. You've never fixed the heating system yourself. It's easy to be an armchair professional!
Icon Dialogue Arrow Are you going to pay for the renovation of all the pipes?
Rossy: Don't you try and morally blackmail me. I know that trick and I won't fall for it!
Rossy: Based on your logic, I would have to learn to produce milk myself if I say I'm not a fan of Moo-Moo Milk. That's ridiculous!
Rossy: Anyway, why am I talking to you about this? Not everyone of my age sees the big picture...
Icon Dialogue Talk (Remain Silent)
Rossy: What are you doing here?
Rossy: If you are bored, why don't you work for Belobog's heating system and contribute to society!? Why waste your best years here?
Icon Dialogue Exit Was there... anything else? If not, I'm gonna go.
Icon Dialogue Exit You can stay here and keep lecturing.
Rossy: Huh? Wow, it's getting late. My mom wants me home for dinner. See you later!

(Included in subsequent interactions, upon completing Trailblaze Mission No Time for Me, My Friend)
Icon Dialogue Talk How have things been?
Rossy: Geez. The moral decay of this place grows more severe by the day. Mark my words. Belobog is on the brink of collapse.
Rossy: Look at this. This is today's edition of the Crystal Daily. Here. Look at the front page headline. Do you see it?
Rossy: "Supreme Guardian Bronya to organize survey team for exploration beyond the walls: First explorers on the Snow Plains in 700 years."
Rossy: Hey, look how riled up I am... Just glancing at this headline is more than I can take!
Icon Dialogue Talk Isn't this good news?
Rossy: How could you call this good? People your age don't get it, including that new Supreme Guardian Bronya. You have no semblance of empathy! Belobog is finished...
Icon Dialogue Talk Care to enlighten me?
Rossy: Do I need to spell it out for you? The former Guardian has passed away not long ago, and now you've got Bronya jumping at the chance to organize a "survey team beyond the walls..." This clearly reflects her inability to make good policy!
Rossy: What is Belobog lacking right now? The awareness that there's nothing but wind and snow beyond our city walls? How wasteful do you have to be to take our limited resources and put them into something so insignificant?
(Trailblazer): (His complaints are endless... I better not waste any more time here.)
