Last updated 2025-05-19
This article is about the Companion Mission. For the Adventure Mission, see Signs of Fragmentum (Adventure Mission). For the Domain of Excursion, see Signs of Fragmentum (Domain of Excursion).
Signs of Fragmentum is a sub-mission within Asta's Companion Mission You Already Know Me in the chapter The Dawn After the Dark.
Steps
- Inquire the current status of the blocked-off area with nearby staff members
- Head to the power supply room and collect the backup batteries
- Hand over the backup batteries and restart the elevator
- Take the elevator to the lower zone
- Defeat the monster and save Pamela
- Find out who the anonymous person is from Pamela
Gameplay Notes
- The sub-mission is treated as a challenge and the player can either "Pause and Save" or "Quit Completely" to exit the challenge.
- If "Quit Completely" is selected, the sub-mission may be restarted after speaking with the Security Department Member again in the previous mission.
- This challenge was originally considered an Exploratory Excursion titled Legion Remnants, but this has since been removed.[when?] The player is now immediately entered into the challenge after talking Security Department Member instead of entering through a domain screen.
Dialogue
Inquire the current status of the blocked-off area with nearby staff members
- (Talk to the Security Department Member)
- Security Department Member: You're... Brother Arlan's friend!
What happened?
- Security Department Member: The Security Department received information about sightings of Legion remnants in the vicinity.
- Security Department Member: However, we just confirmed that there are monsters here that have never been seen before.
- Security Department Member: The Security Department sectioned off the area immediately, but we lost contact with some people.
Is Pamela here?
- Security Department Member: Pamela...? Let me check, I remember her name was on the rescuer list.
- Security Department Member: Did Arlan ask you to investigate? Great! I've made some new discoveries.
- Security Department Member: Did you see it? Look... It seems like the rumors about the station are true — there are Stellaron traces here.
- Maintenance Staff Member: Good luck figuring that out. All I know is that monsters have destroyed the power supply installations here.
- Maintenance Staff Member: The elevator is out of commission, so the people stuck on the floor below can't make it up.
Why don't you go down there?
- Security Department Member: It happened so suddenly. The support from the Security Department is still on the way.
- Security Department Member: We're low on staff right now — all we can do is make sure the monsters don't make it up here.
Is there anything I can do?
- Security Department Member: Maybe you can help us restart the central elevator?
- Maintenance Staff Member: There are plenty of backup power sources in the storage zone — right opposite, if I remember right.
- Security Department Member: As soon as we can restart the power supply, we can get this elevator working and rescue everyone.
Head to the power supply room and collect the backup batteries
Step DescriptionTo restart the elevator, you need to find all of the backup batteries. Even though there are monsters roaming near the power source room, you have to go deeper into the fray...
- (Approach the Security Department Member, idle text)
- I'm afraid this is a live situation. It's too dangerous.
- (Collect

Backup Batteries ×3)
Hand over the backup batteries and restart the elevator
Step DescriptionThanks to you outstanding skills, the trip posed no real dangers as you finally collected all the backup batteries.
It's time to return to the elevator with the batteries and hope. The researchers are still waiting for you.
- (Talk to Maintenance Staff)
- Maintenance Staff Member: Well, did you find the backup power source?
- (Submit

Backup Batteries ×3) - Maintenance Staff Member: Phew, thank goodness you're here. Give me a moment — I'll give the elevator a little shake-up.
- Maintenance Staff Member: Alright, you can use it now. Be safe.
Take the elevator to the lower zone
Step DescriptionThe Maintenance Staff took the backup batteries and successfully restarted the elevator. You step into the elevator to make your way down.
There's no telling whether you will be greeted by the Gossipmonger, Pamela, or unknown danger.
Defeat the monster and save Pamela
Step DescriptionThe trapped researcher told you that Pamela went missing near where the monsters gathered.
Finding Gossipmonger proves to be more troublesome than you thought, but at this point, saving people is more important.
- (Approach researchers)
- Distressed Researcher: Help! Somebody help! ...Wait, the elevator is here!
- Timid Researcher: W—We lost sight of Pamela... There's a terrifying monster over there — we didn't dare to go over on our own.
- Timid Researcher: Please save her! W—We'll take the elevator up.
- Distressed Researcher: Please!

Find out who the anonymous person is from Pamela
Step DescriptionYou succeeded in defeating the monsters and saved "the Gossipmonger" Pamela.
You thought she might appreciate your deed, but she adhered to her professional ethics and insisted that you pay some kind of price.
You agreed, but surprisingly, Pamela's "price" is a picture of Himeko.
- (Talk to Pamela)
- Pamela: Holy mackerel, you scared the stars out of me... Y—You took your time!
Are you Gossipmonger?- Pamela: That's right, I'm the one you're looking for.
You knew I was looking for you?- Pamela: Of course. Not only did I know you were coming, but I also know why.
I came to ask you something...- Pamela: Heh, you want to know who Richard_Knowitall from that Heritor group is, don't you?
Heritor?
- Pamela: Fans of Madam Herta. They call themselves the Heritors.
How did you know?
- Pamela: If I didn't even know that, could I really call myself Gossipmonger?
- Pamela: I'm a businesswoman, and we play by our own rules. If you want the scoop, you have to pay the price.
I saved you, isn't that enough?
- Pamela: Certainly not. I have a very clear notion of how much different favors cost.
Well then, what's the price?
- Pamela: Don't worry, the price is a fair one. Why would I make it difficult for you?
- Pamela: I don't have any particular hobbies. I do indulge in a little tittle-tattling here and there, not to mention, admiring... of a certain scientist...
- Pamela: A—And now here you are, vanquishing monsters left, right, and center! I heard you're with the Astral Express...?
- Pamela: How fortunate! As it happens, I'm a huge fan of Himeko... An amalgamation of beauty and brains — the epitome of a graceful and gentle... scientist.
Soooo...?
...- Pamela: Can you help me take a hi-def portrait photo of Himeko smiling? Pleeeaase~
- Pamela: Make sure you capture her electrifying smile — the one that stuns people into a trance — that million-volt smile~
Do you have a request that's more... normal?
- Pamela: What's the matter? You know Himeko well, right? If you ask her, I'm sure she'll say yes~
This is a strange request.
- Pamela: What's the matter? You know Himeko well, right? If you ask her, I'm sure she'll say yes~
Alright, though it'll probably be my funeral...
- Pamela: I appreciate young, brave, talented people like yourself!
- Pamela: A superbly beautiful, dazzling, electrifying portrait shot of Himeko in exchange for the secret behind Richard_Knowitall.
- Pamela: Send the picture over when you have it. I'm always fair when it comes to haggling.
