Dialogue
Powered-on Computer- This computer is already on, but it's stuck on the startup screen. Someone already typed in a long, complicated password.
Click "OK."
- Once you're in the operation interface, an office document pops up on its own. It's filled with text and seems to follow a particular template...
- "If you're reading this, it means you've come to the warehouse to slack off too. Bad news: You're being watched."
- "There's an aberration wandering in the TV tower that specifically hunts employees who slack off. No one can see it but us. You're on your own now."
- "The aberration is anti-memetic. If it catches you, you'll lose the will to slack off and turn into a model employee who only wants to work hard. You definitely don't want that."
- "Unfortunately, the Department of Aberration Defense won't touch this case, and since we don't know how to eliminate it, we're just trying anything we can think of."
- "I intend to try attacking it with a tape of 'Please Be Happy.' If you still run into that thing, it means I've failed. Please record your own attempts below."
- The rest of the document lists a bizarre range of attempts, from physical attacks and reckless head-butts, to challenging it to a duel with a game console. The latest entry simply says: "I swear I'll be a model employee."
- The cursor blinks expectantly. It's your turn to leave a solution of your own.
Leave your solution.
- You haven't actually seen this supposed aberration. But just in case, you decide to type something anyway.
Resign.
- Since you don't even work at the TV station, this might be the easiest way to escape. Unless it's already been dealt with.
Pretend to be an aberration.
- They say two of a kind make for bad neighbors, so this might just piss the aberration off. Then again, you haven't even seen the thing, maybe it's already been dealt with.
Mash the keyboard.
- You start mashing the keys like a maniac. This might actually be the right move. The aberration will be too confused to tell if you're overzealous or just slacking off. Then again, since you haven't seen the thing, maybe it's already been dealt with.
Turn off the computer and ignore it.
- You decide not to waste your time. Since you never saw any aberration, this document might just be a rank. Either that, or it's already been dealt with.
Leave.
