Though it's been called the Gathering Place, in the eyes of undergrounders, there is hardly any true gathering.
For undergrounders, life itself is tough enough to consume every last ounce of their strength. They would rather choose to spend any spared effort on chit-chats and eating.

The Gathering Place is a spot that welcomes people from all walks of life. No matter if you are a prospector or a Wildfire member, you are on an equal footing with anyone else.
Only one rule needs to be followed: No fighting.

Goethe Grand Hotel

For two tin cans, you can stay at Goethe Grand Hotel for one night, as long as you can tolerate its hostel-like setup of rooms filled with multiple beds.
However, this is not that unbearable in the Underworld. In every tax period, you may find a lot of miners getting together here.

Besides, thanks to Chef Gertie's enthusiasm towards creating new recipes, more clients come here for a good meal rather than a sound sleep. Goethe Grand Hotel has thus still become quite the landmark in the Underworld.

By chance, the Overworld also has an establishment called the Goethe Hotel, but the relationship between the two is yet unknown.
