Gertie is an NPC on Jarilo-VI, located in Boulder Town upon completing Trailblaze Mission A Sunset Rendezvous in the chapter In the Withering Wintry Night.

Profile

Gertie is the owner and chef of the Goethe Grand Hotel in Boulder Town. Most of her customers are from Boulder Town and visit her establishment for the restaurant. The dishes she can cook include Wild Herb Soup, Iron Pot Braised Olm, Candied mushrooms with pepper, and Rat Jelly. She's renamed Rat Jelly to Flavorful Jelly. Gertie mentions working at expanding her cooking repertoire.

Old Goethe and her belong to the same generation and met up with other members of their family during festivals back when the Overworld and Underworld were still connected.

Iron Pot Braised Olm?

Gertie: Ah, not this one... look at the one below — this is the modified version! We specifically use an iron pot to braise olm meat. That way the meat becomes really tender... I learned it from a book, hahaha.

Candied mushrooms with pepper?

Then why is there another one in the Overworld?

Gertie: Be patient! I was about to talk about that.

Gertie: As our hotel's business grew, some people wanted to expand the business to the Overworld.

Gertie: That Goethe must be very talented to be able to buy a shop in the busiest area of the Administrative District! That's how the Goethe Hotel in the Overworld was started.

Gertie: However, our family was divided ever since then, and now there are two separate branches in the Overworld and Underworld.
