Warp Trotter (NPC)

Warp Trotter is an NPC on the Astral Express and Herta Space Station, located in the Passenger Cabin, Supply Zone and Party Car respectively.

Depending on the player's dialogue choices, it may be named Warp Trotter, Trotter, Bubbles, Puffball, Ivory Menace, Chunky Chops, Turbo Trotter, or Trotterlord.

Profile

Warp Trotter is a Warp Trotter Aether Spirit stored in an Aether Coin that was abandoned at Old Weapon Testing Ground. After the Trailblazer defeats two IPC workers in an Aetherium Wars battle, they claim ownership of the coin and join the Interastral Tournament Festival with Warp Trotter at their side. Unlike most Aether Spirits, which are simply just digital representations of creatures, Warp Trotter has a unique personality.[1]

It is later revealed that Warp Trotter's sentience was caused by an oversight by the Aetherium Wars project team, and it was directly uploaded to the game server with all its personality traits still intact. Asta came ahold of it and added it to her Aether Coin collection. Warp Trotter was later stolen by Topaz's Support Squad, the IPC worker duo that the Trailblazer beat previously, who were gathering Aether Spirits to help Topaz win the tournament, but Topaz ordered them to disband and return Warp Trotter to Asta.[2]

After being informed by Wilder of the situation, Topaz spoke to Asta, who proposed that the Trailblazer should decide what to do with Warp Trotter.[3] Upon winning the tournament, the player can decide whether to keep it or return it to Asta.[4]

Dialogue

Upon completing Event Adventure Mission Final Showdown! Intergalactic Celebration!, it will become an NPC on the Railway Platform of Supply Zone and in the Passenger Cabin (regardless of whether the Trailblazer chooses to keep or return it). It will also appear in the Trailblazer's Room if the Event Adventure Mission Cosmic Home Décor Guide: Gaming Room‍[verification needed] has been completed.

  • The Chinese name of Chunky Chops (Chinese: 肥大) is a reference to the translation of Dragonite in an early Chinese romhack of Pokémon Gold and Silver known for its poor translation quality.
