Yanming finally breaks for pause, just as Xikui takes the chance to shove a pile of documents into Yanming's hands — as if piercing him straight through the heart with a rapier.

At last, victory. Yanming is stunned, before he slinks away, dejected. The curtain falls on another trivial scene from the Palace of Astrum's millennia-old office drama.
