Affairs Specialist is an event-exclusive NPC who first appeared during the Dangerous Fugitive's Leisurely Vacation event.
Profile
The Affairs Specialist is a member of Airspace Patrol. Though they went through the standard training, they are a clerk, and as such are not as proficient in combat as other members of the organization.
History
The Affairs Specialist was assigned by Sigrid to take on the job of tracking down the wanted criminal Remielle. Though while in the presence of Sigrid the Affairs Specialist tried to keep her cool, she otherwise was terrified of the prospect of having to go up against a Void Hunter level foe. Phaethon arrived at the same time Sigrid finished debriefing her, and she revealed to the proxy that a generous rewards of dennies was to be issued to parties who could provide evidence of sightings of Remielle, prompting them to work with Remielle to game the system.
During this time, the Affairs Specialist was overwehelmed as Phaethon brought them new "evidence": Remielle was nigh impossible to catch, the whole squad had to gather before they could head out to follow leads, and any witnessed caught on camera had to be checked to make sure they were safe before being questioned, only adding to her exasperation at the situation. This was because the operation was a ploy in and of itself - a way for Sigrid and Lindverne to keep Airspace Patrol too occupied with bureaucracy to actually catch Remielle.
The Affairs Specialist was able to correctly deduce certain elements of the situation, such as Phaethon's suspicious ability to get such good photos of Remielle, or Sigrid not pushing for this the operation to have any real degree of urgency, but attributed them incorrectly to other factors. When the investigation finished she thanked Phaethon for their help, and commented that she didn't feel like Remielle was really the suspect at all after having seen her in the photos, and wondered about Roscaelifer potentially facing something dark in the future, but stood firm in her commitments to protect the city.
