Profile

Cang Huang was a famous movie actor who appeared in numerous martial arts movies, earning the respect of numerous other tiger Thirens in the process. He would survive the destruction of the tiger Thiren settlement during the Fall of the Old Capital, but would ultimately meet his ends at the hands of an unnamed assailant of his own kind. The culprit used an artifact of their people; the Tigerbane Bell, to absorb Cang Huang's ether frequencies to become stronger, which ultimately cost him his life.

The unnamed "Master Tiger" would go on to impersonate Cang Huang, and eventually staged a fake movie production to consume another tiger Thiren: Ju Fufu of Yunkui Summit, however she was able to overcome and apprehend him, before handing him over to public security, where he would be charged for Cang Huang's murder and the murders of other tiger Thirens.^[1]

Etymology

• Cang Huang's name is made of the two colors 苍 cāng, "cyan, ashen" and 黄 huáng, "yellow", which might be a reference to tigers' black-and-yellow fur.
• Coincidentally, 苍黄 cānghuáng is a word on its own, meaning "sallow, greenish yellow", and it is also used as a variant of the homophone 仓皇 cānghuáng, "panic-stricken".
