Gaming Time is a Quality Time Invite for Caesar King on Sixth Street.
Steps
- Meet Caesar outside the video store
Dialogue
- You meet up with Caesar at the video store on Sixth Street
- (Talk to Caesar)
- Caesar: There you are, Proxy!
Sorry to keep you waiting!
- Caesar: Nah, I showed up a bit early. I haven't played any video games in a while. I suddenly got the itch, so I drove kinda fast on the way over.
You're here so early.
- Caesar: Haha, yeah! I haven't played video games in a while. I got the itch, so I drove kinda fast on the way over.
- (Both choices lead to the following)
I bet you're a pro when it comes to video games.
- Caesar: Yeah, I'm not bad. We fighters tend to have quicker reflexes than most people.
Do you play video games a lot?
- Caesar: Yeah, there're a couple of old arcade machines from the city in the Outer Ring. Whenever I spot one, I'll hop on for a few rounds.
- Caesar: Only bigger towns like Badger's Respite have proper arcades, but they have a pretty limited selection. Nothing like the city where there are new games released every month.
- Caesar: Let's get going!
- (While following Caesar)
- Caesar: There's so many fun things on this street of yours.
- Caesar: Oh? This is the newsstand that Piper mentioned with the dog watching the shop!
- (Near Howl's Newsstand)
- Caesar: Proxy, could you wait a sec? Piper asked me to buy her a scratch card.
- Caesar: ...Got one. Let's get a move on!
- (Talk to Caesar)
- Caesar: You can hear all the noise from inside even from way out here.
- Caesar: By the way, Proxy, what should we play today?
How about Snake Duel? We can team up.
- Caesar: Sure. In fact, I just saw a flyer in the arcade for a Snake Duel tournament later.
- Caesar: Let's sign up and see how far we can go!
- You sign up for the Snake Duel tournament with Caesar. As you expected, Caesar is a pro at these action games...
You make it to the semi-finals but miss out on the final cash prize.
You leave the arcade with Caesar... - Caesar: I didn't even realize we'd been playing for so long. Snake Duel might look simple, but it makes for some intense competition.
Too bad we didn't make it to the finals.
- Caesar: True. Those champions were next level. It would've been awesome to take them on!
- Caesar: I was going to ask if they wanted to play some casuals after the tournament, but they just took the prize and left.
So that's why you're bummed out.- Caesar: Yeah, the cash would've been nice, but it's all about the fun. Playing all that time on one token means we already got our money's worth.
Our teamwork was solid.
- Trust increase with Caesar King
- Caesar: Yeah, it's probably because we've been through thick and thin together. Playing with you always puts me at ease. I'm sure we can do better next time!
Yeah, let's gear up for round two next time.
Let's go for the title together next time!- Caesar: You got it!
How about Soul Hounds III? I'm feeling up for some competition.
- Caesar: Sure! I told Lighter before it's a pity you don't know how to throw hands. If you weren't the brainy type, you'd make a fierce sparring partner.
- Caesar: So let's battle it out in agame. [sic]
- You enter the arcade with Caesar and select Group Hunt mode for Soul Hounds III.
While this game prioritizes strategy over speed-testing games, Caesar's skills are still formidable. The matches are back and forth, with no one able to win two matches in a row.
Without realizing, you play for a long time until your pockets are completely empty, and you have no choice but to reluctantly leave the arcade... - Caesar: Phew... you're pretty good, Proxy.
*Huffing* ...You too.- Caesar: We've been playing for so long, but we still don't have a clear winner!
- Caesar: I hate to cut it short, but it's getting late, I really can't play anymore today.
How about we try something new?- Caesar: Makes sense! Why don't we settle it with a round of rock-paper-scissors? Consider it overtime — one round decides the winner!
Sure!- Caesar: Let's go, Proxy! On three... rock, paper, scissors... shoot!
(Scissors, I like being sharp!)
- Caesar: Right on! I win!
You got me, Caesar!- Caesar: Hey, you're not letting me win on purpose, are you?
No way, absolutely not!- Caesar: Good. I'd rather lose to you fair and square than have you go easy on me just to make me happy.
(Paper! Soft but deadly!)
- Caesar: Oh no, I lost!
- Caesar: No shame in losing to the best Proxy in New Eridu, though.
(Hammer, it's all about strength!)
- Caesar: Eh? A draw again!?
- Caesar: Hmm, guess this is why they say "Birds of a feather... mosh together"?
Isn't it "flock together"?- Caesar: Hahahaha, well said!
- Caesar: Thanks for hanging out with me Proxy. I had a lot of fun today.
- Caesar: Feels like the pressure of being an Overlord has completely vanished.
- Trust increase with Caesar King
- (Idle)
- Caesar: Video games are a great way to relieve stress.
