Cissia: But this is Blazewood...? It's not exactly what I pictured...

Cissia: The Outer Ring I remember was full of drifters who lie and Biker Gangs who'd whip out a weapon at the drop of a hat...

Cissia: I thought the whole place would be grimy and chaotic!

Cissia: Something's off! The Outer Ring being this peaceful is like candy from a street hustler... there's gotta be something shady wrapped inside!

Cissia: Stay sharp! Stick close to me!

(While following Cissia)

Cissia: This place is almost too peaceful... kids running around, old folks out for strolls, and nobody's sizing me up to see how many Dennies I've got in my pockets.

Cissia: Something's off here... The Outer Ring's law is survival of the fittest—there's gotta be something way more dangerous lurking around!

Cissia: Who?! I don't know you—

Friendly Elder: It's me! Old Pipe! Remember when you swiped my lighter to trade for eggs, then tried to blame it on a rat?

Cissia: Old Pipe... Old Pipe?! You're alive! And... why's your belly all round now?

Cissia: Th-That was my nickname from back when I used to roll with the Biker Gangs! Don't say it out loud!

Cissia: Nobody out here in the streets just straight-up tells you their name like that!

Old Pipe: Well I'll be damned! It really is you, Little Venomous Bite! Dang, how many years has it been! That outfit you're rockin' now... whoa, you come from the city or somethin'?

Old Pipe: Haven't seen you in years! Never thought the Little Venomous Bite who used to crawl through the mud in the Outer Ring would become such a big shot in New Eridu!

Cissia: What big shot? I'm just a temp, that's all! And this collar doesn't exactly look like a badge of honor, does it?

Cissia: But hey, what brings you here? This town's giving off some seriously weird vibes...

Old Pipe: Me? I live here! Moved to Blazewood a few years back. It's a solid spot—nice and stable. I run a bike repair shop, living the honest life!

Cissia: A repair shop? You? That old pipe who'd pull a knife on someone over half a pack of smokes?

Old Pipe: Hey, people change, y'know! I'm getting up there in age... Here in Blazewood, you can make a decent living without all the fighting and killing.

Old Pipe: The mayor and the Sons of Calydon girls are all tough as nails — not many biker gangs are dumb enough to mess with Blazewood.

Old Pipe: No doubt about it! Whether it's the hot-blooded young folks from the Biker Gangs, or an old-timer like me running a repair shop—no matter what history or stories we got between us, we're all friendly neighbors now.

Old Pipe: But you, Little Venomous Bite... after that whole thing went down, you straight-up vanished... Are you... doing alright?

Cissia: Me? I'm working off a debt at Public Security, catching... catching bad guys...

Old Pipe: Whoa! Impressive! I knew a clever kid like you would make it out! Way better than us old-timers!

Cissia: What's so impressive about that? Just lucky I didn't die out there!

Old Pipe: That's talent right there! If you ever get tired of hustling out there, come back sometime.

Old Pipe: Blazewood could use a good locksmith, and your lock-picking skills used to be top-notch...

Cissia: I'll think about it later! It's way too peaceful around here—nothing like the Outer Ring I remember... I'm not used to it!

Old Pipe: Alright, take care, Little Venomous Bite! And don't forget—there's always food for you here!

Cissia: Got it—free meals. I won't forget that!

Cissia waved goodbye to her old friend, Old Pipe.

Cissia: Man, that old man's really changed... From the king of brawls to a handyman!

Cissia: Blazewood's a strange place, very special...

Cissia: Nothing like the Outer Ring at all. It's more like... what people mean when they talk about "home."

Cissia: The Outer Ring I remember wasn't like this at all... It was either rob, run, or pass out starving in some dust-choked wasteland.

Cissia: So there really are places in the Outer Ring where you can survive without having to bite people...

Cissia: Nothing alike. In my memory, the Outer Ring was nothing but gray, black, and blood-red. But here... here there's the color of cactus flowers.

Cissia: If Chalky and I had collapsed outside this town back when we were wandering... would someone have taken us in?

Cissia: Tch, forget it! "What ifs" are the most useless things!

Cissia: I just... I'm used to all the violence and chaos in the Outer Ring, this is kinda weird for me!
