Explorer’s Badge is a game system in Lost Void.

Overview

Explorer’s Badges can be unlocked by clearing Battlefront Purge: Difficulty V or VI with any General Gear at Tier 3 or higher. Explorer’s Badge levels are independent to each Gear and Investigation Strategy the badge was unlocked with.

Investigation Strategy

Investigation Strategies are set buffs and/or effects that will occur under specific circumstances. One Investigation Strategy must be selected for each run of Lost Void. When selecting an Investigation Strategy, the total number of Explorer’s Badges unlocked for that strategy is displayed in the top right. There are 12 Investigation Strategies in total.

	Sneak Attack Strategy	For every Combat area cleared, all squad members' Daze dealt increases by 3% and DMG dealt to Stunned enemies increases by 5%, stacking up to 5 times. Stacks reset when an Agent in the squad is defeated. "Seize the moment: Even the mightiest Ethereal is vulnerable when they realize they're about to fall."
	Upper Hand Strategy	After entering the combat area and before taking damage 5 times, all squad members gain 50 Anomaly Proficiency, and the Disorder effect deals 20% increased DMG. The hit counter and buff reset each time you enter a combat area. "Such powerful equipment requires strict maintenance — better land some hits before the Ethereals wreck our support gear!"
	Speed Combo Strategy	Aftershock DMG dealt increases by 30%, Daze dealt increases by 30%. When any squad member lands an Aftershock hit on an enemy, the target's All-Attribute RES is reduced by 2.5%, stacking up to 5 times. This effect can trigger once every 5s. "In the Hollow, 'don't chase a desperate foe' is neither courteous nor advantageous; on the contrary, it saves quite a bit of re-aiming time."
	Resonium Passion Strategy	Coin combat areas have a 40% chance to grant 1 Resonium. Entering Friendly Talk areas also grants 1 General Resonium. "Make sure to use the Resonia. They come from the Hollows, and, naturally, are the best weapons for fighting back against the Hollows."
	Treasure Hunter Strategy	There is a 10% chance of obtaining 1 Card in combat areas. Obtain 1 Card when entering a Rest and Recuperation area. "Is the purpose that drives this operation just an investigation, or is it the promise of a great bounty...? Are these two things mutually exclusive?"
	Fully Armed Strategy	Challenge - Flawless areas have an increased chance to grant Gear. Bangboo Assist will be fully charged when entering combat. "Being armed to the teeth allows anyone to transform into a walking tank."
	Entrepreneurs Strategy	Entering a Hollow grants 1,500 Gear Coins, increases the number of items sold in the Store by 1, and Bangboo merchants have a 20% chance of offering a 40% discount. "The great thing about getting on the good side of Bangboo merchants is that they really will treat you like a god."
	Recovery Strategy	Rest and Recuperation areas grant 1 additional selection, with a 25% chance to obtain Gear. "Ample supplies can make rest between battles much more efficient. But whatever you do, don't drift off for too long."
	Looting Strategy	When entering an "Encounter" or "Price Difference" area, recover 10% HP and obtain 500 Gear Coins. "Cast aside the dignity of legitimacy... The ruthless mindset of a Hollow Raider will always net you a more plentiful bounty. Isn't that right?"
	Defense Strategy	Upon entering the battlefield, all squad members gain a shield equal to 10% of their Max HP. "Use a defensive formation to neutralize the enemy's offense and prepare for your counterattack in the prolonged battle to come."
	Ambush Strategy	Agents' initial HP is reduced to 80%, but DMG dealt is increased by 25%. "The acceptance of certain death with every step only strengthens them into something truly formidable."
	Reinforcement Strategy	The DMG dealt by Bangboo is increased by 100%. Each time a battle is won, the DMG dealt by Bangboo increases by an additional 25%, and the DMG dealt by Bangboo Chain Attacks is increased by 10%. This can be triggered up to a maximum of 10 times. "Don't underestimate these little guys, they were born for battle in the Hollows."
