- Momo: Enn, ehn-na! Ehn-en-nhe, ehn-ne-nhe! (Wait, wait, what?! No way I'm hearing this right! This box... it's making meowing sounds!)
- Momo: Ehn-ne... ehn-nhe-nuh, ehn-ne-ne-nhe-enn? (Hey well-traveled human... Are there, like, square cats out there in the world?)
Of course not. Why do you ask?- Momo: Ehn-ne, en-nhe-ehn-ne! Ehn-neh! (Because this box in front of me keeps meowing... just like...)
- Kitty: Meow!
- Momo: Ehn! Ehn-ne! Nhe-ne-en? Neh-ne? En-neh-nhe? (Ah! Did you hear it? It just meowed again! Is it hungry? How do you even feed a box cat? Does it eat teacups?)
- The kitten's behind the box!
- Stand on your tiptoes and look again.
- Momo: En-nah... enneh! En-neh-nah! (Is that so...? I'll stand on my tiptoes and take a look... Ah! It's just a normal kitty cat!)
- The little cat hiding behind the box doesn't run away. Instead, it just lets out a cautious meow, as if asking, "Are you good hoomans?"
- Momo: Ehn-neh-ne, ehn-ne, enn-ne, nh-nhe-ehn-nah-nuh. (You look pretty scared, huh? There, there — pat, pat — don't be afraid. When I get scared, my senior would pat my head just like this.)
- Kitty: Meow~

- So Momo scoops up the kitty and heads to the alley behind the shop.
- There's another kitten in the alley behind the shop.
- Momo: En-nehna. En-neh-na... (So there really is a little kitty here... and there's a food bowl. Looks like someone's been taking care of it. Perfect, then you can keep each other company. No fighting now, okay? *Pat pat*...)
- Kitty: Meow~
- There's another kitten in the alley behind the shop.
- Momo: Ehn-na ehn? Nhe-nhe, enh-na. Ehn-nha... (Oh, right... Could I ask to keep the kitten a secret from Tin Master? He hardly ever comes to the back entrance, so if it's just one little kitty, it probably won't get noticed...)
- No problem.
- Momo: Ehn nu! Ehn nheh ehn nu, nhe nhe! (Great! Thank you so much! I've gotta get back to work at the shop now. Come visit the little kitty whenever you've got time, okay?)
- And so, Momo returns to the store. As for the kitten Maggie adopted, it finally had a new friend from that day on.
