Tin Master (Booastrum District)

Last updated 2026-08-12

Tin Master is an NPC located in Booastrum District. He is the owner and manager of Cuppa Moment, as well as being the resident Tin Master of Booastrum District.

Profile

Being a T-Type model, Tin Master is specialised for tea making rather than coffee, though he has the same enthusiasm for it as other Tin Masters. He is also one of the main members of the Merchant Association.

History

It is rumored that Tin Master originally came to Roscaelifer with a member of the Marcel Group, and while they wanted to get Coff Cafe to work in the city, it lacked the facilities to grow coffee beans. However, it did have ideal conditions for growing tea leaves, and so the decision was made to brew tea rather than make coffee.

Some months prior to Phaethon's arrival in Roscaelifer, Tin Master tried growing wheatgrass outside the shop, as he worked on new tea blends, but encountered a stray kitten who tried to eat it. Being toxic to cats, Tin Master hurried to stop it by snatching away the potter plant, but the kitten assumed he wanted to attack it and bolted. Worried for its health, the Construct chased after it, but was unsuccessful. This incident made the other employees of Cuppa Moment assume Tin Master hated cats, as they interpreted him chasing the kitten while holding a flower pot in the same way the cat did.

Shortly after Maggie, Momo and Agnes secretly adopted their own cats to feed behind Cuppa Moment, the stray that Tin Master had encountered returned, much to his relief. He adopted it, encountering the three other strays as well as Maggie and Momo, where Phaethon helped explain the misunderstanding. They decided to adopt all four cats, allowing them to come and go from the tea shop as they pleased, and named them Lil' Tin, Mo, Mag and Ag.

Tea & Cats

(Talk to Kitty)
Kitty: Meow~
A friendly little cat is hanging around outside the teahouse.
Icon Dialogue Talk: Pet the kitty.
Icon Dialogue Talk: Tease the kitten.
The decision had barely formed in your mind before a voice called out from behind. "Welcome in. What can I get you today—"
The voice cut off abruptly at the sound of a cat's meow — Tin Master, whom the staff constantly warned you "loathes cats," has finally arrived.
Tin Master: ...
Icon Dialogue Talk Oops, it's Tin Master...
Tin Master: You actually... made it back alive?!
Icon Dialogue Talk Chill out, Tin Master!
Icon Dialogue Talk Chill! It's just a kitten!
Tin Master: That's such a relief! Oh, what a relief! At last, I can unburden myself of this guilt. I thought what I didn [sic] had cost you your life, but it turns out you're still alive and well...
Icon Dialogue Talk What's going on?
Icon Dialogue Talk You know this cat?
Tin Master: Sorry you had to hear that weird stuff. It's a pain I've been keeping buried deep down, but since you caught wind of it, might as well fill you in.
Tin Master: I once tried growing wheatgrass in soil dusted with cocoa powder — y'know, testing out new tea blends. One day, I caught this little cat that'd jumped onto the pot, munching away at the wheatgrass.
Tin Master: Chocolate powder is super toxic to cats... I quickly snatched the pot away. The kitty thought I was gonna hit it and bolted. But I couldn't just leave it like that — I had to take it to get checked out... in case that...
Tin Master: So I kept chasing it and it just kept running — went on for blocks and couldn't catch it. In the end, all I could do was come back holding the flowerpot...
Icon Dialogue Talk So that's what cat-chasing is all about...
Tin Master: Never thought I'd see the day, but a few months later, the little guy came back. I'd know those markings anywhere — those eyes, that tuft of fur sticking out behind the left ear. Man, what a relief... The kitty's okay, thank god...
Kitty: Meow~
Tin Master: Fate brought you back, so why not just stick around? Stay. I'll set up a food bowl for you out back...
Icon Dialogue Talk Ah! Behind the shop...
Tin Master: What's going on behind the shop? There are already a bunch of kittens back there. Just one extra bowl shouldn't be a big deal.
Icon Dialogue Talk You know about that cat behind the shop?
Tin Master: Yeah, I spotted them a few days ago. No idea why they're hanging around behind the teahouse, but hey, fate works in mysterious ways! They're welcome to stay as long as they like. Anyway, time to put out the cat bowls. If you're into cats, feel free to tag along and check them out.
So, you and Tin Master head to the alley behind the shop with the cat, and as luck would have it, you run right into Maggie and the others feeding the cats there.
Maggie: Oh my– so many babies showed up today!
Momo: Ehn! Ehn-ne-en-nhe-nhe! Enn-en-ne-nhe. (Hey, don't steal food from someone else's bowl! You haven't even finished the food in your own bowl yet!)
Maggie: What a wholesome scene~ I should take a picture... Ah, M-Manager! When did you get here? These cats, we were just...
Icon Dialogue Talk Easy, Maggie. It's all good.
Icon Dialogue Talk It's okay. Actually, Tin Master...
You help Tin Master explain the story of the kitten and the catnip to the two of them. The misunderstanding is finally cleared up.
Maggie: So that's what happened... The Manager was chasing after the little cat because he actually cared about it. That was kind of unexpected...
Tin Master: I was surprised too. I did notice three little kittens hanging out behind the shop, but I had no idea you had taken them in.
Momo: En-nah en-nah! (Not gonna lie, we just found out this morning too!)
Maggie: This morning before opening the shop, we each grabbed a bowl to feed the cats, and that's when we ran into each other. Everyone got quite a surprise. Agnes said no wonder she noticed more and more cats hanging around the shop lately. Turns out we'd each adopted one on our own!
Tin Master: Since we've adopted them, let's treat them as part of the teahouse. No more hiding out back — they're welcome to hang around the shop whenever they want.
Momo: En-nah! (Yippee!)
Icon Dialogue Talk So, did you name the cats yet?
Maggie: Ah... not yet! I've never had a cat before... What should I name it... Got any good ideas?
Icon Dialogue Talk Your cats, your call.
Maggie: I see... our cats... then how about we use our own names!
Momo: Ehn-ne? (What do you mean?)
Maggie: Like mine's called Mag, Momo's is Mo, then there's Ag and Lil' Tin... Oh wait, would that be kinda disrespectful to Tin Master...
Momo: Ehn-nhu! Nhe! (I agree! I like it!)
Tin Master: Then I'm throwing my vote in too.
Maggie: Hmm– that just leaves Agnes. I'll ask her what she think when we take a break later~
Momo: Ehn! En-ehn en-nuh-ehn! (Okay! Ah, Mo! Don't steal Lil' Tin's food!)
Tin Master: Ha, time to head back. I can't leave Agnes to run the shop all by herself.
Momo: Ehn, ehn-ne-ehn-ne-ne, ehn-ne-ne! (Oh right, human guest, here's a gift for you. Please Take it!)
Icon Dialogue Talk A gift? For me? That was unexpected.
Momo: Ehn-ne-ehn-ne, ehn-ne-ehn-ne. (The kitty found this while rummaging through cardboard boxes. It had been buried under a towering stack for ages.)
Maggie: Consider it a little thank-you from the kittens for keeping their secret. Even though there's no need for secrets anymore~ Alright, we're heading back to the shop! Feel free to stick around if you want to hang out with the kittens.
Just like that, the teahouse staff head back inside. Not only do they feed them, they even let four kittens roam around the tea room...? Sounds pretty lively.
