One-Dennyboo

One-Dennyboo is an NPC who can be found in Sixth Street and Lumina Square.

Profile

One-Dennyboo promises good fortune if given headpats, but it is revealed that such fortune came with a price: 1 Denny. The ruse had a reason — One-Dennyboo wished to save up enough Dennies in order to buy a battery to heal its injured friend, a cat. Phaethon intervened and managed to call a vet, successfully helping the Bangboo. After this, One-Dennyboo appears every Saturday outside of Random Play, allowing the player to pet it for free.

History

It was at one point bought at a discount at a place where Vivian Banshee used to work, but the boss cared little for it, eventually throwing One-Dennyboo out due to not wanting to pay for any repairs for it, even though said repairs only involved a simple battery change. Vivian replaced its faulty battery after One-Dennyboo earned the money to buy one, and the two have been friends ever since. Because she knew of it before it began selling pets for one Denny, Vivian still calls it Luckyboo rather than One-Dennyboo.^[1]

Eventually, One-Dennyboo eventually sent a postcard to Phaethon, telling them that the Bangboo and cat managed to find a home where they can live happily without worry, as seen in the description of Maple Rest.

You try calling a vet, and to your surprise, professional help arrives quickly and treats the injured cat for free...
The vet suggests taking the cat back to the hospital to recover for a while. Once it's better, it can go out again. Of course, the hospital welcomes One-Dennyboo to visit its cat friend anytime!
