Commission Description

The lady standing in front of Random Play — Don't tell me she's Connie Esper, the fourth-place winner in the "My Favorite Movie Directors" ranking?

(Idle): Connie: Random Play?; Connie: I'm sure you have exquisite taste, Manager...

(Speak to Connie): Connie: Hmm... A video store tucked away at the end of the street, a TV playing old movies in the display window... If I were still sixteen, I'd probably come here every day after school, right? Oh wait, I already got kicked out of school when I was sixteen.; Thanks for the compliment.; Connie: Are you the manager of "Random Play"? What a coincidence. You have great taste in choosing stories - and choosing stories has always been synonymous with what we call "creation."; Connie: There's this saying, "The statue was already in the stone, I only removed the extra bits." It's the same with movies. The story is already there. You just need to capture it with the right scene.; Connie: Let me introduce myself, Manager. I'm a film director, and I'm currently preparing my next film.; I thought you looked familiar...; Connie: So, I'm looking for an assistant director to help with the movie prep. This job will include—; Connie: First, casting. The big screens in New Eridu haven't seen any new faces in too long. I want to film something with regular, everyday people, so finding the right actors is the top priority.; Connie: Second, picking scenes. This story happens right around us. New Eridu is our stage, but we need to choose the right settings.; Connie: The assistant director's job is to help me with casting and scene selection. Basically, it's about using the camera to capture the right people and the right places.; So, who do you have in mind?; Connie: Well, anyone can press the shutter, but not everyone has the talent to capture the brilliance of the moment and its fleeting beauty.; Connie: But, maybe the manager of Random Play has that magic touch.; Connie: Before you take the offer, let me tell you about the first act of the story...; Connie: A band of thugs from the Outer Ring, they don't know each other, they are all nicely dressed, and ambitious, especially the leader...; Connie: He's tapping his knuckles on the wooden tabletop. And here's his plan: robbing the jewelry shop across from the cafe after lunch...

Connie: You can obtain different photography missions each day.

Connie: Use the photo and hints to find the photography target.

Connie: Complete the sub-requirements for photography missions to get a higher rating.

Connie: Now try and complete the photography mission!

Connie: Immaculately-dressed, but can't hide his ambitious nature... This wolf Thiren really is a graceful thug — I'm sorry. I mean he's perfectly suited to play a graceful thug.

Connie: Next, we need to head to the shooting location for Scene One: An innocent jewelry store opposite a cafe.

Connie: All these sparkling jewels glittering conspicuously, that's where our story is going to take place...

("Scene One: Unlucky Jewelry Shop" added to the Workbench): "He's tapping his knuckles on the wooden tabletop. And here's his plan: robbing the jewelry shop across from the plaza's cafe after lunch..."

Connie: So the scene of the crime is settled then? The "Unlucky Jewelry Shop"... You're sure we won't be mistaken for crooks casing the joint, right?

Connie: Apart from photographing the main story, I'd also like you to snap some pictures of different corners of the city as creative materials. There's never too much inspiration, after all.

Connie: Like a bicycle by the road or an old poster in an alley, literally anything interesting, please capture them all.

Connie: Once you complete the photography mission you can check your score here.

Connie: You can re-challenge the mission if you want a higher score!

Connie: Apart from photography missions, you can complete inspiration missions, too.

Connie: There'll be different inspiration missions each day.

Connie: Completing inspiration missions will get you rewards.

Connie: Please do your best!

Day 2

(Speak to Connie): Connie: Let's continue then with scene two of the story...; Connie: The criminals' heist isn't going as planned, leading them to suspect a traitor among them...; Connie: Their suspicions are correct, as this NEPS undercover agent is dangerous and charming — so charming, in fact, that they forgot their suspicions...; Connie: The thieves, pursued by officers, flee into a huge Hollow. The heist was becoming increasingly dangerous, and the undercover agent's mission was at its most precarious. Shocked and angry at the betrayal, they clashed before the Hollow under the setting sun...

Connie: Next up is the filming for Scene Two: This scene is called "When the Sun Sets Over the Hollow."

Connie: A pitch black abyss framing the magnificence of the sun, the perfect backdrop, wouldn't you agree?

Connie: For the Hollow scenes, my Bangboo snapped a few photos... But regrettably, its visual sensors are poor and super-pixelated. Here's one that I'm particularly fond of. You can use it as a clue to help find our photoshoot site.

(Speak to Connie): Connie: The story is approaching its conclusion, with the conflict reaching its climax—; Connie: The undercover officer, under suspicion, is in grave danger, but there is still a "close friend" who believes in her loyalty. Thus, in the confrontation among the villains, bullets fly...; Connie: The seemingly false yet earnest "close friend," bloodies, falls into the officer's arms, who offers her a final confession...; Connie: The film reaches its conclusion at the most familiar first meeting location...

Connie: There's always a place that represents the beginning of "your" story.

Connie: As usual, my Bangboo has snapped a few pics of potential locations with its old camera... I like this one the most.
