The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a set from the Lost Items From the Old Capital's section of Ray's Research Log. Collecting the whole set unlocks a hidden commission of the same name, which awards the hidden achievement by the same name after completion.

This has been verified as an item lost by the White Star Institute, and it seems to be quite old. More clues are needed for further analysis.

• After completing the commission:

A timid researcher is forced to work on the construction of Hollow Zero's new observation point. What dangers await him in the depths? Fate lies in the balance.

You were the only one not currently involved in a project at the moment. I'm still working on some thesis projects. As far as I know, your project supervisor is unwilling to review your thesis again. He submitted a retirement application at the young age of 72. So you currently have no projects. ...Uhh... I don't think 72 years old can't be considered young... The sole entry in your record is a fainting incident during a Hollow investigation before being carried out by your colleagues. Your only redeeming quality seems to be an above-average Ether aptitude. I really don't have any remarkable accomplishments or hands-on experience... um... Professor? ...Uh... Today's progress on the observation station was normal... Yeah, that's it. That's not how we do work reports. Normal progress? We can all see that, so it doesn't need to be in your report. We've all read about this in our textbooks, but to actually see it with your own eyes is... mystical? Dylan, a work diary should be a true record! If you were so scared during the spatial displacement that your legs turned to jelly and you fell down — well, you would have to include that in your entry! Miss Joyce, please don't randomly add things in when I'm trying to work on my diary. I'm your teacher, not just any old outsider! Our observation station reached an all-time high for Ether activity today, but Miss Joyce is not willing to abandon it. My research is just picking up, too, so I hope there won't be any changes for now. ...With the observation station being attacked by several Ethereals today, we've all been evacuated out of Hollow Zero. My data... Ohhh... I put my heart and soul into it... Uhgh... (sigh) Our research data was left back at the observation station because we were evacuated in such a hurry. Hopefully we can go back and retrieve it all tomorrow... Really? Can we really go back and retrieve all the data tomorrow? I said "hopefully." Please don't get the wrong idea, Miss Joyce!
