- Uncle Kai: The fan sways gently, wind and rain gather near. Words bloom like lotus, fresh as sun and moon anew. Friends and patrons, thank you for gathering here. Friends, patrons, let us begin — a tale of old and new you'll hear.
- Uncle Kai: Today's story, The Chronicle of Auric Ink, recounts the deeds of Suibian Temple in subduing monsters and banishing evil.
- Uncle Kai: Of course, art takes its liberties. So, just sit back and enjoy the story, my friends.
- Uncle Kai: The tale begins in Failume Heights, when calamity hit the place. And down from the mountain came Suibian Temple's disciples to protect the people.
- Uncle Kai: But the Ethereal was no paper beast. Its skin like bronze, no weapon could pierce it. Its claws could shear through metal with ease.
- Uncle Kai: But Suibian Temple's mystics pressed forward with no fear. Senior Ju Fufu struck first with a crushing blow — Tiger Descent! While her panda comrade followed with a swift, precise Pressure-Point Strike!
- Uncle Kai: And Yixuan Shifu stood as the heart of the array, calling down a thousand layers of talismans from the very heavens above.
- Uncle Kai: And so the Ethereal was nailed to the ground by Auric Ink's power, unable to move!
- Uncle Kai: But just as one crisis passed, another arose... More beasts emerged from the alley, their eyes glaring with deadly intent.
- Uncle Kai: The disciples' hearts sank — until their eyes fell on Yixuan Shifu, seated in meditation, gazing idly at drifting clouds.
- Uncle Kai: Just as the beasts' claws were about to fall — snap! — her eyes flared gold!
- Uncle Kai: She'd been reading the heavens all along, gathering power to trap the beasts inside her array.
- Uncle Kai: The crowd was just about to cheer when suddenly, the talismans dimmed, and the array's core began to falter!
- Uncle Kai: Now, my friends, you may ask, how will Suibian Temple turn the tide?
- Uncle Kai: Haha, that answer... awaits in the next chapter.
- Uncle Kai: The fan sways gently, wind and rain gather near. Words bloom like lotus, fresh as sun and moon anew. Friends and patrons, thank you for gathering here. Friends, patrons, let us begin — a tale of old and new you'll hear.
- Uncle Kai: Today, we continue the story of Dreambound Town, the adventures of a novice disciple of Suibian Temple.
- Uncle Kai: Now, street stories, you know how they are: half-truth, half-fable. Dear friends, please take them lightly.
- Uncle Kai: Last we left them, we spoke of how our hero and friends had fought their way free, ready to escape that eerie town.
- Uncle Kai: Suddenly, they heard a children's rhyme, and from the billowing dark mist... stepped a monstrous beast.
- Uncle Kai: Compelled to strike back, they found the beast revived again and again, without even a single weakness to be found.
- Uncle Kai: At that dire moment, a blue fissure cracked open before their eyes.
- Uncle Kai: Without hesitation, the young mystic leapt through, leading everyone in a daring escape!
- Uncle Kai: They passed through the fissure, and when their feet touched ground, the eerie town still loomed before them!
- Uncle Kai: Is this still the world of men, or an illusionary realm? Tides of thought welled up in the young disciple's heart as they cast the path-seeking technique.
- Uncle Kai: But the town itself was a trap, looping endlessly like a bewildering maze with no way out!
- Uncle Kai: Despite every effort, they couldn't find the way out. At last, spent and weary, they sank into slumber...
- Uncle Kai: Upon awakening, the young mystic heard the roar of waves crashing on the shore, and discovered they had all made it out unharmed!
- Uncle Kai: Looking back, the town seemed hazy and unreal, like a dazzling, fevered dream dissolving at dawn.
- Uncle Kai: One might say—
- Uncle Kai: The storm's passed, the dream undone, a thousand waves reflect the sun. The light of heart disperses the haze, revealing clear skies in radiant blaze.
- Side room, 12AM
- Uncle Kai: This song... I just can't get enough of it, no matter how many times I listen...
Dialogue
- (Talk to Uncle Kai in the side room, 12AM)
- Uncle Kai: Hey there, young master! What brings you here at this hour? Don't tell me you couldn't get enough of the story and came looking for this old man?
- Uncle Kai: As luck would have it, I've got a story book here, saved especially for late-night contemplation. If you don't mind, little master, shall I share it with you?
I suppose I should oblige.- Uncle Kai: Ahem... "Every gesture exudes grace, and every glance and smile captivates the soul. I'm just a smooth-talking commoner from the streets — what right do I have to marry such a celebrated actress?"
- Uncle Kai: "They say love grows over time — spend enough time behind the scenes together, and romance just naturally blooms."
- Uncle Kai: "One's got a silver tongue, the other's got pipes of gold — we're quite the harmonious couple, aren't we?"
- Uncle Kai: "I too wish this moment could last forever, like the eternal flow of the river, never-ending."
- Uncle Kai: "Alas! Life is so unpredictable. That day when the Hollow disaster struck, my wife sacrificed herself to save our child, vanishing like smoke. Since then, it's been just my daughter and me, two lonely souls depending on each other."
- Uncle Kai: "From her favorite lyrics, she captured the image of clouds and moonlight, etching them onto the jade pendant I wear close to my heart. Since then, whenever I take the stage to sing, it feels as if she's still by my side — like clouds chasing the moon, and moonlight embracing clouds, our love as husband and wife, remembered beyond death..."
- Uncle Kai: Coming here alone at night, playing her favorite songs... it's become a habit without me even realizing it.
- Uncle Kai: Pardon my crude storytelling, but the message is pretty straightforward.
- Uncle Kai: Young master, cherish the one right by your side!

- (Talk again)
- Uncle Kai seems tired and falls silent, just quietly listening to the music playing on the old radio. Perhaps that brief story has taken more out of him than an entire play would.
- (ProtagonistProtagonist): (Better not disturb him...)
