From an interview with an anonymous Executive Officer from HAND: Facing the Hollows and the Ethereals, as a member of Hollow Special Operations, it's both reassuring and an honor to have squadmates from Section 6 fighting alongside you. And as a citizen of New Eridu, it's reassuring to have such fearless protectors in Division 6... It certainly makes everyone feel secure and privileged. But when you need help with certain tedious — pardon me, meticulous... procedural tasks, you'll understand just how challenging they can be. Take that member Soukaku, for example. She leaves virtually no contact information behind... and even if you manage to get through, the call might abruptly cut off due to some mysterious low-temperature environment! Then there's Asaba Harumasa. I've managed to dig up three different phone numbers for him from various sources, differing by just a few digits. Two were out of service, and the last one was unreachable. In such situations, the ever-understanding Deputy Chief becomes everyone's final hope — if only her line wasn't constantly busy. And if you ask about contacting Chief Hoshimi directly? I once found myself... uh, "delegated"! Yes, delegated by my superior to persuade Chief Hoshimi to participate in a promotional event. That day, I watched her complete an entire "1,000 sword swings" training regimen — only to receive a firm refusal. We are a genuine R&D company, and over the years, our designers have been progressing alongside Section 6. While amateur users can treat the HIA's VR levels as simulations of anti-Hollow combat, for real investigators, realistic training scenarios are essential. Whether it's a small mobile explosive device mimicking the Blastcrawler, a heavy combat machine on par with a Farbauti in weight, or a mobile target moving faster than the Thanatos... From an interview with a logistics staff member from HAND Headquarters: What does the Section 6 squad enjoy eating? That's a tough question to answer... Generally, we prepare two types of meals for them. One is their regular daily meals, designed to be nutritionally balanced. The other is the Hollow Picnic Basket, which contains high-energy fast food with some Corruption-suppressing properties, suitable for longer stays in the Hollow. To ensure the operatives can enjoy their meals even in the Hollow, we've adjusted the flavors and presentation of the food. For instance, Chief Hoshimi's compressed biscuits are infused with concentrated melon juice to create a melon flavor. For Deputy Chief Tsukishiro, we shaped her food into red bean buns but replaced the filling with nutritional paste. Strangely, although the head chef feels quite thoughtful, it seems that sometimes, the squad isn't always pleased. When the "Special Edition Red Bean Bun" was first added to the Hollow Prep Meal, Deputy Chief Tsukishiro returned from her mission and, upon seeing the red bean buns in her daily meal, gave them a strange look, as if she was on guard about something. I'm not sure what happened since I didn't prepare that batch of nutritional paste, but the next day, I noticed the new secret seasoning jar was empty... Ah! "They Say" IV
An interview with a fashion industry professional: I'm a makeup artist who collaborates regularly with a renowned fashion magazine, and I was fortunate enough to be invited by Hollow Special Operations to assist Section 6 operatives with their promotional photo shoot. Our magazine is quite prominent in Ridu, and I've worked with many well-known individuals outside the fashion world, crafting looks that completely subvert their usual image. But Section 6 is different... The public wants to see them present their truest selves. That day, I came to the studio with the determination to help the Section 6 operatives look their best for the shoot. When I entered, Ms. Tsukishiro was having her long hair brushed while instructing Ms. Soukaku to revise her calligraphy notebook. Ms. Miyabi appeared to be practicing "saying exactly four words at a time", calmly telling the stylist, "no hair accessory please," "It's for personal reasons," and "Really sorry about that." An interview with a fan creator: Yes, "Hollow Lost Dreams" is my work. Thoughts on "Luminous Holiday"? Hah, as a follower of Section 6... If your imagination of them is limited to trivial daily scenes like shopping, strolling, or buying melons, you might as well idolize some movie stars instead. Why do I admire Section 6? Hmm... First of all, let me emphasize that what I'm about to say is purely hypothetical: Imagine! Imagine a Hollow disaster strikes. Refugees huddle together, anxiously calculating the time they've been trapped, flinching at every sound, and nervously speculating when the Ethereals will arrive. Then, a rescue squad arrives. As always, they conduct Corruption reaction tests and instruct everyone to line up for evacuation. But because your reaction is more severe, you're deemed beyond saving and shoved to the back, left to await death. Everyone numbly lines up or gets pushed aside. Nobody questions it because "that's just how it's always been." Suddenly, the Executive Officers of Hollow Special Operations, who you thought were untouchable, walk to the end of the line. They neutralize all pursuing Ethereal entities, even sharing their anti-corruption serum with you. Eventually, with their help, you actually escape the Hollow. That's who the operatives of Section 6 are. Please treat this as my imagination and creative work! After all, we're just "hypothesizing," aren't we...
