Al is a quest-exclusive NPC that appears in World Quest The Narzissenkreuz Adventure in Series Ann of the Narzissenkreuz: Act I - The Narzissenkreuz Adventure.

In the World Quest Mary-Ann's Story in Series Ann of the Narzissenkreuz: Act III - "If She No Longer Dreams of You...", it is revealed that all that has been experienced was just a "story" based on Mary-Ann Guillotin's life experiences; the Hydro Mimics in the Narzissenkreuz Adventure Team are supposed to be representatives of the history of Narzissenkreuz and Mary-Ann's friends but in a fairy tale form. Al is representative of Mary-Ann's adoptive brother, Alain Guillotin.

Al takes the appearance of a Hydro Mimic Mallard.
