Locations

Dualblaze Longplume Ibises can mostly be found around Lempo Isle, including at the southern port and northern entrance of Nasha Town. Both of these locations have the red and blue variants.

Trivia

• They're known to hunt small animals like Chic Badgers. They used to go after kuuhenki, until the Moon Goddess Columbina issued them a warning not to do so.^[1]
• When the Longplume Ibis inflates its colorful throat pouch, the player can use kuuvahki to interact with it. This will not kill the animal, but will cause it to flee.
• Despite being named after the ibis, a wading bird, Longplume Ibises seem to share more traits with seabirds, especially frigatebirds. Both Longplume Ibises and frigatebirds have forked tails, long, hooked beaks, non-webbed feet, and brightly-colored, inflatable throat pouches that are used for mating. They also have similar feeding behaviors — instead of swimming or diving like most seabirds, they rely on surface feeding while flying. For frigatebirds, this is because their feathers are not waterproof, so they may drown if they get wet.
