Hunt Down the Abyss Mage

Hunt Down the Abyss Mage is a Quest Domain during Master's Day Off in Jean's Story Quest, Leo Minor Chapter: Act I - Master's Day Off.

Trial Character

• As you approach the first entryway, the Abyss Mage will detonate an exploding barrel and badly injure you. Afterwards, Jean will join your party as a trial character.
  • The explosion damage can be avoided, but the dialogue will still act as if you got hurt.

Chests

(Note: one of the chests (the second Exquisite Chest) can only be reached through the use of a character that can create platforms, such as Geo Traveler, or a character with exceptional movement skills, such as Wanderer)

• Common Chest - after exiting the first room and seeing the short scene with the exploding barrels, turn to the right to see the chest sitting on the ground next to two enemies.
• Common Chest - in the larger room with a large pool of water, it is hidden behind a breakable wall.
• Exquisite Chest - in the same room, cross the pool of water and use the right-hand (northeastern) doorway to find a small side room with the chest sitting out in the open. When you open it, you will be attacked by three Cryo Slimes, but killing them is not neccessary.
• Exquisite Chest - after crossing the pool of water, use a character such as Geo Traveler to climb the structure as seen in the linked video below to find the chest at the top.
• Precious Chest - available after completing the dungeon.

Notes

• The Abyss Mage will spawn an endless amount of Cryo Slimes during your battle against it. The only way to end the battle is by defeating the Mage itself.
