Jak is a quest-exclusive NPC that appears in World Quest The Narzissenkreuz Adventure in Series Ann of the Narzissenkreuz: Act I - The Narzissenkreuz Adventure.
Profile
Jak is the "Orchestre" of the team due to Jak seeing himself and the rest of the team as an orchestra of resistance against Narcissus. Jak is the most politically opinionated of the Narzissenkreuz Adventure Team, often voicing his opinions which would end up getting the rest of the team into heated arguments. Most of Jak's beliefs revolve around hierarchies and their unjust and oppressive nature, calling out the monarchial and feudal systems. It even led Jak to refer to Princess Lyris as simply "Ms. Lyris" and correcting Ann on the Narzissenkreuz being republic rather than a kingdom. Nevertheless, he still cooperated with the rest of the team when it came to saving Princess Lyris.
In the World Quest Mary-Ann's Story in Series Ann of the Narzissenkreuz: Act III - "If She No Longer Dreams of You...", it is revealed that all that has been experienced was just a "story" based on Mary-Ann Guillotin's life experiences; the Hydro Mimics in the Narzissenkreuz Adventure Team are supposed to be representatives of the history of Narzissenkreuz and Mary-Ann's friends but in a fairy tale form. Jak is representative of Jakob Ingold, a friend of Mary-Ann when they were still at the Narzissenkreuz Institute and the Institute of Natural Philosophy.
Jak being the "Orchestre" of the Narzissenkreuz Adventure Team's "orchestra" is likely representative of Jakob taking over and taking care of most things around the Narzissenkreuz Ordo after Rene's transcendence into the Master Narzissenkreuz.
