Dialogue
The Damselette is having a spot of trouble in the Silvermoon Hall...
- (Enter Silvermoon Hall)
- (If the player has completed A Nation That Doesn't Exist)
-
- (Traveler): (Hmm? Music from a lyre? It seems Columbina is playing for the kuuhenki.)
- (Traveler): (The last time we popped by, the lyre hadn't been repaired yet. That was well before Columbina got to know everyone...)
- Not long ago...
- (Talk to Columbina, optional)
- The Damselette: You appear acquainted with that artisan. I shall await you here.
- (Approach Aino's House)
- Paimon: Aino? Are you home?
- Aino: Wait, Paimon? Is that you?
- (Aino comes out of her house)
- Aino: What brings you here, guys? Bring me any snacks?
- Paimon: Paimon knew you'd say that! Here, we got you these on the way.
- Aino: Quick, hand 'em over! Ineffa's gonna be back soon.
- Aino: So, you here to hang out? What sorta fun things should we do?
- Paimon: Hehe... Actually, we need your help with something...
- (The Traveler shows her the broken lyre, and Aino's smile morphs into a terrified grimace)
- Aino: Waaah! Get... Get that weird thing away from me!
- Paimon: "Weird thing"? You mean this lyre?
- Aino: I told you, I don't mess with stuff that science and mechanics can't explain...
- Aino: I'm telling you, that lyre just... shows up on my doorstep at random. And, after I fix it, the thing up and disappears!
- Aino: N—Not that I believe in spooky, superstitious stuff like that!
- Paimon: Ah, okay... Seems like there's some sort of misunderstanding here...
- Aino: What do you mean?
This lyre belongs to a friend...
A friend who's a bit scared of strangers...- Paimon: Yeah. She doesn't mean any harm, she just... has her reasons for taking the lyre back without being seen...
- Aino: Really? You better not be making this up.
- (The Traveler and Paimon shake their heads)
- Aino: Fine. I'm... I'm trusting you on this! I'll fix this thing for you, and this time, I'll try to make it last...
- Aino: Wait for me here. I'll be right back.
- Paimon: Knew we could count on Aino! Paimon feels a little bad Columbina's random item drop-offs had her so freaked out though...
- (Silent footsteps approach Paimon from behind)
- The Damselette: Yes, she deserves something in return.
- Paimon: Exactl— Aaah! What are you doing here!? You scared us!
- The Damselette: I have something to give you.
- Paimon: Hmm? What are these?
- The Damselette: A few trinkets the kuuhenki collected. I thought the artisan might like them. Perhaps you could give them to her as thanks.
- Paimon: Ohhh... What a weird collection of components. Yeah, alright! We'll pass 'em along!
- Paimon: Take care on your way back! There could be people around here.
- (Ineffa unexpectedly arrives at the workshop)
- (Traveler): ...
Paimon...- Paimon: Huh? What is it?
Over there...- Paimon: ...!
- Ineffa: ...
- (The Damselette quickly hides behind the Traveler)
- The Damselette: ...
- Ineffa: ...Analyzing appearance...
- Paimon: What are you doing that for!?
- Ineffa: Match found: Resemblance to Nod-Krai Moon Goddess Statues is 95%...
Th—That's because... She's an actress!
- Ineffa: Increased heart rate detected in "(Traveler)"...
What about the, uh, margin of error?
- Ineffa: Margin of error minimal. Inference assessment: Accurate...
- Aino: Okay, all fixed! Did a pretty bang up job, if I do say so myself. It shouldn't break ever again! Also, about those sna— O—Oh! I—Ineffa...!
- Ineffa: What was that last part, Aino?
- Aino: Uh, those sna... zzy new components worked great, too!
- Ineffa: ...?
- Aino: Uh, who's that behind you?
- The Damselette: ...
The person who needed the lyre fixed!
The one who's shy!- Aino: (Huh, she kinda looks familiar... Have I seen her before? Eh, whatever. The most important thing is, I hid those snacks Paimon gave me...)
- Paimon: Th—That's right! Also, she wanted you to have these components as thanks for fixing the lyre, Aino.
- Aino: Ooh, lemme see... Wow! These are rare, and so old! You sure I can take them?
- The Damselette: ...Yes.
- Aino: Thank you so much! If you ever need anything else fixed, just come find me — no need to be shy!
- Ineffa: ...
- Paimon: Well, um... We've got places to be, so uh... Aino, Ineffa, we'll swing by some other day, okay?
- Paimon: (We've gotta get The Damselette outta here, or Ineffa will recognize her for sure!)
- Aino: Oh, sure! See you some other time!
- Aino: (I've gotta do some cleanup quick, or Ineffa's gonna find the snack crumbs!)
- Ineffa: Alright. Until next time.
- (The three leave the workshop)
- Ineffa: ...Aino.
- Aino: Uh... yeah?
- Ineffa: Would you like to frame these components or preserve them in any way?
- Aino: What? Why would I do that?
- Ineffa: They appear to be "gifts from the Moon Goddess."
- Aino: Huh? What are you talking about...? Remind me to check your circuits later...
