Trivia

Etymology

• A Parthian shot is a light cavalry archery tactic developed by the Parthians, an ancient Iranian people, and was also used by their Sassanid successors. While mounted archers retreated, or feigned retreat, at full gallop, they would turn their bodies and fire arrows at their pursuers — hence why some other localizations' names for Parthian Shot refer to turning or twisting.
