Dialogue
- Rolf: You'd better keep running, friend! This place is very dangerous. If the Wild Hunt shows, up, I can't guarantee I'll be able to protect you!
How do you know that the Wild Hunt will appear?
- Rolf: As a Lightkeeper, dealing with the Hunt is my sworn duty.
- Rolf: See that Tideseal Stone? To ensure that the Hunt is completely and utterly eradicated, I have to stand guard here for three days and nights.
Tideseal Stone?- Rolf: These stones are seals placed by us Lightkeepers to dispel the permeation of the Wild Hunt.
- Rolf: Although I'm not sure how it works, such suffusion will, if left unchecked, tend to draw the Hunt back to the same location.
- Rolf: That's why we usually place down these stones in areas where the Wild Hunt has been pushed back. If the Hunt returns, the stones can also protect us in battle.
I ain't scared of no Wild Hunt!
- Rolf: I'm not sure where you get your confidence, but the Hunt is not an enemy to be taken lightly.
- Rolf: Let me give you a word of advice. When you come across places with these Tideseal Stones, you'd best tread carefully.
I shan't disturb you any longer.
- Rolf: See you. Take care on the road.
Trivia
Etymology
- Rolf is a male given name and a surname. It originates in the Germanic name Hrolf, itself a contraction of Hrodwulf (Rudolf), a conjunction of the stem words hrod ("renown") + wulf ("wolf"). The Old Norse cognate is Hrólfr. Rolf is a first name or part of a double name or a longer name in Sweden, Norway, Germany, Finland and Denmark, and to a lesser extent in Iceland.
