The Scattered Past is an Event World Quest Series during the Summertime Odyssey event in the Golden Apple Archipelago.

Summary
The Traveler encounters a small group of Fatui, including the agent Yakov, who are stranded on the islands. Crucially, the unique properties of the Golden Apple Archipelago islands, which are tied to the characters' personal memories, have caused the Fatui to lose their specific memories and personal belongings. The Traveler helps an agent find their lost Fatui insignia, which helps them remember their duty and identity. The Traveler finds a lost photograph, triggering memories related to the agent's past and personal connections.
The final part involves finding a "misplaced conch" which is actually a device used to record information or memories, revealing more about their situation and the people they care about. Upon completing all three quests, the agents regain their memories and resolve to continue their mission, leaving the islands with a renewed sense of purpose. The Traveler is left with a deeper understanding of the diverse individuals within the Fatui ranks.
