Divers once told of a legend that the legendary Fontemer Aberrants, known as the "Iron Viscount" and the "Ocean Circuit Judge," had once been married, only to part ways later. Many years ago, most regarded the tale as nothing more than a joke. Yet after multiple sighting reports were published in The Steambird, those who made their living from the waters could no longer laugh it off. Enormous, unusual Armored Crabs with features closely resembling both the Iron Viscount and the Ocean Circuit Judge have been steadily claiming waters filled with abandoned metal, like overlords marking out their domains. This is why some divers, fearful of the rapid evolution of underwater ecosystems, have dubbed them the "Self-Proclaimed Lords."
As shipping accidents have grown increasingly frequent in recent times, large quantities of cargo have fallen to the seafloor, upsetting the original balance. The "Self-Proclaimed Lords," unseen for many years, have now resumed their activity...
