Requirements

• Adventure Rank 28 or above
• Complete Archon Quest Chapter I: Act III "A New Star Approaches"
• Complete Archon Quest Chapter IV: Act V "Masquerade of the Guilty" and Raiden Shogun's Story Quest "Imperatrix Umbrosa Chapter: Act II" first to get the best experience from this event.

Summary

• During the event, you can locate your companions on the map, visit them in different regions, and listen as they share tales from their daily lives, or while away a lazy day by their sides.
• Complete the specified number of anecdotes to claim rewards in the event interface.
• There is a limit to the number of anecdotes you can experience each day. If the map no longer shows any companions to visit, try coming back another day.

During the event, you can visit your companions in different regions and listen as they share tales from their daily lives, or while away a lazy day by their sides.

Available anecdotes will be marked on the Map. Once you get close to your companions, they will also be displayed on the mini-map.

Gameplay Notes

• The event starts with a limit of 5 available marked anecdotes in total. Each daily reset, the total marked anecdote limit increases by 5.
• A maximum of 3 marked anecdotes can be available on the map at the same time.
• Unmarked anecdotes can be encountered once per day and do not count towards the marked anecdote limit.
  • Unmarked anecdotes have specific triggers. As a result, players can choose the order in which they spawn these anecdotes, with caveats for those that have the same trigger:
    • If characters belonging to different anecdotes with the same trigger also appear in the same location, or their locations are different but are both guaranteed to be in view of the player when the trigger is completed, then the anecdote that becomes available is effectively randomized.
    • Otherwise, the anecdote that becomes available is the one whose character spawn location is the first to be "reloaded" via camera panning.
• Anecdotes vary in whether or not any characters are available for additional dialogue after completion. Characters who do remain after completion will despawn after the area is reloaded.
• The exact anecdotes available will be randomized at daily reset.
• Certain anecdotes require the completion of other anecdotes before they become available. These may be anecdotes from the same character or different characters.
• When marked anecdotes are spawned after completing one or at daily reset:
  • As many as possible are spawned, up to the total availability limit and the maximum of 3 simultaneously available on the map.
  • An anecdote cannot spawn if:
    • There is a conflict with another anecdote or another quest.
    • Its prerequisites have not yet been completed.
      • None of this event's "Recommended Quests" are prerequisites for any anecdotes. However, if the Recommended Quests are already in progress, then they may still need to be completed in order to view certain anecdotes due to quest conflicts.
    • An anecdote for the same character is currently available on the map.
    • It was unlocked or unblocked by an anecdote whose completion caused the current spawning of more anecdotes.
      • As a result, if the player's final unfinished anecdotes all belong to the same series of strictly sequential anecdotes, then they must wait multiple daily resets to complete the series.

Anecdote Chronicles

The Anecdote Chronicles features 35 short dialogue quests called Anecdotes. Ifa, Iansan, Xilonen, and Kinich are hidden until completed, and only one Natlan Anecdote can be unlocked per day.
