Travelers' Tales is a permanent game system that spawns Anecdotes with playable characters in the open world.

Overview

How to Access

After reaching Adventure Rank 28 and completing the Archon Quest Chapter I: Act III - A New Star Approaches, talk to Katheryne to complete the World Quest The Many Matters Learned in One's Travels to obtain the Travel Accounts to track tales and exchange rewards.

To unlock Nod-Krai's Travelers' Tales, complete step 24 of the Archon Quest Reunion Beneath the Moonlight in Song of the Welkin Moon: Act I - A Dance of Snowy Tides and Hoarfrost Groves.

For the best experience in certain Travelers' Tales, complete the Archon Quest Chapter III: Act V - Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises and Skirk's Story Quest, Crystallina Chapter: Act I - Whispers Betwixt Stars and Night.

Appearance Criteria

Some Anecdotes require certain conditions to unlock, such as interacting with a particular Crafting Bench, Domain, or a specific character is needed in your party, such as Lauma. These conditions can be viewed in the character's Travel Accounts tab.

The currently available regions for marked Anecdotes will be displayed on the Map tab bar, and their specific locations will be indicated by the character's icon on the Map. Unmarked Anecdotes will not be indicated on the Map or in the tab bar, but are otherwise subject to the same restrictions as marked Anecdotes.

Outside of Travelers' Tales events, a maximum of Condition missing Anecdotes can spawn per day. An Anecdote may not spawn if the character or location is currently involved in another interaction, such as a quest or a different Anecdote. A given character cannot appear in more than one Anecdote per day.

Destiny Drawn

Complete the World Quest Travelers' Tales: Destiny Drawn to unlock Destiny Drawn.

Players can interact with the icon at the Grand Narukami Shrine to "make a wish" to meet a certain character. This will increase the chances of unlocking an Anecdote for that character for a certain period of time.

After making a wish, the player must wait 2 days to make another one. The time remaining can be viewed in Travel Accounts, on the Map, or by interacting at the Grand Narukami Shrine.

Destiny Drawn cannot be used to wish for Anecdotes that can only occur under special circumstances or after certain conditions are met.

According to folklorists, the tradition of Prayer Plaques in Inazuma dates back to ancient times, so far in the past that its exact origins have been lost to history. It is said that young women who were married to men in the military would write their heartfelt wishes on horse-shaped wooden plaques, praying that a noble steed would one day carry their beloved safely home from war. These days, Prayer Plaques come in all shapes and sizes, but the hopes and blessings they carry remain much the same.
Write down the name of a companion you wish to meet on your journey, and perhaps that wish might really come true...
