Verut is an open-world NPC located in Court of Fontaine: Fleuve Cendre, Fontaine.

Verut and his older brother Aurele live in the Fleuve Cendre with their mother and father. Their parents are away during the day for work, which is very distressing for Verut, so his brother has them play hide-and-seek to pass the time.[1] Verut tends to cry frequently, such as when he misses their parents or when Aurele does not participate in hide-and-seek.[2]
The brothers met Lovi while playing hide-and-seek in the city, and she quickly joined their games. She and Verut got along instantly, as they are both energetic and curious,[2] and the three continue to spend time together to this day. At some point, Lovi started a "secret clockwork research base" in the Fleuve Cendre, dubbing Verut as her assistant.[3]
Verut does not seem to understand why his older brother is so intent on getting a job as a reviewer, but he tries to support him nonetheless.[4]
Appearance
Verut is a young boy with pale skin, mid-length olive-brown hair, and emerald-green eyes. He wears a light brown vest over a short-sleeve white shirt, checkered navy suit trousers, brown Oxford shoes, and dark, striped socks. A thin red bow is tied at his collar.

- Verut: Must we? Every time we ask him to fix a toy, he'll deliver something completely different back to us.
- Aurele: But isn't that a good thing? If he can turn a boat into an aircraft, I'd even work for him, really!
