Added in Version 2.2.1, Friends is a menu that has multiple different social functions for the Captain to use.

Friends List

Friends

1. Captains can access the friends list and send direct messages to any current friends or players that a Captain has recently had contact with (for example, a co-op invite).
   • To remove someone from the friend list, click their avatar and then press the red "Delete" button on the right. This will make the Captain unable to receive direct messages from that person or use their support.
2. Captains can have a total of 148 friends.
3. Friends in the list will have their most recent time online shown below their avatar, while their Captain Level will be displayed to the right.
4. Captains can add nicknames to their friends in the list (with a limit of 16 characters).

Blacklist

1. Blacklisting is a way to "block" another Captain. This prevents the messages from the blacklisted Captain from being seen, and it also stops that Captain from sending any direct messages.
2. A list of all blacklisted Captains can be found at the very bottom of the friends list.
3. Captains can blacklist a total of 50 other Captains.

Groups

1. Added in Version 3.0, Captains can also form groups. Captains can make a group and then invite their friends, Senseis/Cadets, and other Captains via their IDs. Groups function as private chat rooms, and have a maximum capacity of 30 other Captains.
2. When making a group, Captains can customize the group's name (with a limit of 11 characters), avatar, and announcement (with a limit of 80 characters).
   1. As the owner, direct invites can be sent out to friends and Sensei's/Cadets. Otherwise, Captains will have to find other players by searching their ID.
   2. Only the owner is required to be in the group to have it created.
3. Captains cannot find groups, they need to be invited into one or make one manually.
   • Only the owner of a group can invite others into it.
4. When in a group, Captains can view the group's [Member List], which will show the other member's avatar, name, Captain Level, ranking, and status.

Find Friends

1. At the bottom left, next to [Friend Requests], Captains can access Find Friends. This function allows the Captain to search for friends and send friend requests. The game will automatically propose 10 other players for Captains to send friend requests to, but it is also possible to find other players via their ID. The list of suggested Captains can also be refreshed.
2. Captains can not search for Captains that share an ID or for Captains they are already friends with.

Friend Requests

1. At the bottom left, next to [Find Friends], Captains can access their Friend Requests, which lets them accept or decline any friend requests they've been sent by other Captains.
2. Captains can either manually accept or deny these requests or choose to ignore them all.

Bond Level

At the top left of a direct chat, a Captain can access their Bond Level with another Captain. This function allows Captains who frequently message each other to receive certain buffs based on their Bond Level. There are 999 Bond Points total.

Sensei

To the right side of the screen, under [Friends] Captains can access their Sensei/Cadet System. Here, they can check on any Sensei and/or Cadet statuses, and participate in activities related to the system.
