Sensei/Cadet System
Last updated 2025-10-25
The Sensei/Cadet System enables Captains to become a Cadet or Sensei to another player, which unlocks a variety of missions, a specialized shop, and provides players with a number of other rewards.
Requirements
- Cadets: Captains of Lv. 6~79 can become Cadets.
- Sensei: Lv. 80+ Captains can become Senseis.
- Each Cadet can have only 1 Sensei at a time.
- Each Sensei can have up to 2 Cadets at a time.
Examination Trials
A Cadet must pass a total of 10 stages of Examination Trials to graduate. Cadets become Senseis after graduating. Each stage includes 3 missions. After clearing all 3 missions, the Cadet can rate the progress achieved for that stage.
Complete the rating to enter the next stage. Rewards for the current stage shall be mailed to both the Sensei and Cadet. The Cadet's comments will appear in the Sensei's reward mail. Senseis with better ratings from their Cadets will receive better rewards.
Effects of an examination trial stage decrease if the Cadet's level is too high.
- Lv. difference ≤ 7: 100% Sensei's Rewards
- 8 ≤ Lv. difference ≤ 10: 80% Sensei's Rewards
- 11 ≤ Lv. difference ≤ 15: 50% Sensei's Rewards
- 16 ≤ Lv. difference ≤ 20: 30% Sensei's Rewards
- 21 ≤ Lv. difference ≤ 25: 10% Sensei's Rewards
- Lv. difference ≥ 26: 5% Sensei's Rewards
A Cadet will automatically graduate upon reaching Lv. 80. Automatic graduation cancels all rewards for the current and all following stages.

Daily Missions
A Cadet also receives additional daily missions from the Sensei, which can be found under Collab Missions in the Sensei menu. Cadets can clear these missions to get bonus
EXP and rewards while the Sensei receives
Sensei Rep and
School Inspector Emblems.
Daily missions refresh at 04:00 on days when the Cadet goes online. For a Cadet, there is a limit for daily mission refreshes for each Examination Trial stage. Daily missions will not refresh once the limit has been reached.

Sensei Rating
Once a Sensei receives more than 4 Cadet ratings, the Sensei's Grade will be calculated and displayed. A Sensei's total reputation is re-calculated every 6 months.
Sensei with higher grades are more likely to appear in [Recommended Sensei/Cadet System].
Recommended Sensei/Cadet System
After a Captain posts their Personal Info, the info will also be entered into this system for matching. This system will match Sensei and Cadets according to the Personal Info provided. Better matched Captains are more likely to appear in the recommended list.
Matching considerations include gender, hobbies, and areas of interest. Give more info for higher chances of recommendation.
This system recommends up to 3 Captains at a time. Refresh the list to see more recommendations.
Application Handling
When online but not in battle, Captains will get a pop up notice when receiving an application. In all other cases, applications received will be temporarily saved in the Application List. The Application List can store up to 20 applications. No more applications can be received if this limit is reached. Captains can respond to these applications one by one in the Application List.
Applications saved in the Application List will expire after 2 days.
Revocation
A newly formed Sensei-Cadet relationship cannot be revoked within the first 24 hours by either side.
A Sensei who revokes cannot recruit Cadet(s) within the next 48 hours. The revoked Cadet will not be penalized. A Cadet who revokes cannot send applications to other Senseis within the next 48 hours. The revoked Sensei will not be penalized.
If a Sensei or Cadet goes offline for more than 2 days, the relationship can be revoked without penalty.
Once the relationship is revoked, Captains will not receive rewards for the current Examination Stage. A Cadet can resume their mentoring with another Sensei from the Examination Trial stage at revocation (but progress for that stage will be reset).
Sensei and Cadet Chat
Senseis and Cadets can use a special chat channel. The most recent chat will show on the main screen.
Chat messages received offline will be saved. A Captain receiving offline messages will be notified once online.
Out-of-combat Notification
When not in battle, Captains will receive notifications when their Sensei or Cadet clears certain events. Captains may hide/show these notifications in Settings.
Ai-chan Message Helper
Ai-chan can push messages sent from any Sensei or Cadet(s) to Captains when they're in battle. Captains can tap [Reply] to respond to these messages quickly.
Tap the [Pause] button in the combat screen and go to [Settings] to hide/show Ai-chan Message Helper.
Other Notes
Each Sensei may recruit up to 5 times per month.
Lv. 79+ Captains will automatically clear the Achievement [Road to Graduation].
