Dollie: Speaking of which, I really do owe you an apology... I totally didn't see through her schemes and tricks.

Dollie: As her teacher, I cannot shift the blame. Since Himeko entrusted me with the mask, I should've been more careful.

Dollie: ...I know you have a lot of questions. Why don't I tell you a story?

Dollie: Actually, when I first embarked on interstellar travel, my teacher once asked me, "Dollie, do you believe there are two exactly identical leaves in this world?"

Dollie: The first time I crossed through a black hole, I caught a glimpse of the possibility of multiple parallel universes.

Dollie: Time doesn't flow in a straight line. I once encountered another version of myself, identical in every way. Her eyes were tender yet sorrowful, as if she'd been through it all, but she refused to breathe a word of it to me.

Dollie: ...I haven't seen her in ages. I'm sure she's made some kind of sacrifice.

Dollie: Anyone would think the same, right? That somewhere out there, there's another me, silently bearing all the world's accidents and misfortunes on my behalf, keeping me blissfully ignorant and safe and sound all the time.

Dollie: ...I should be grateful to her, but would she complain about destiny?

Dollie: I'm still alive, and she's already passed on. Would she really be okay with that?

She will. After all, it's her destiny.

She won't. No one should have to shoulder another person's burdens.

Dollie: You spotted a "Ms. Dollie" in the hallways of Graphia Academy who looks a lot like me. She didn't greet you, but she did wait for you to catch up... It seems like she was trying to lead you somewhere...

Dollie: You understand now. Destiny chose to make her reappear. The "Ms. Dollie" that you met was actually...

Dollie: Heh, it was actually me.

Why is it that Himeko trusts you so much?

Dollie: Our friendship transcends age. Out of everyone here at the school, she and I were the closest.

Dollie: Back in her student days, Himeko had quite a fiery personality. She wouldn't just stand up to students. Even teachers got called out if they went too far.

Dollie: But for some reason, she was interested in imagenesis and physics. I used to work for a while at aerospace companies like AscendAir, and she was always asking me about interstellar travel.

Dollie: Over time, she started sharing the ups and downs of her life with me too. You know how it is. I couldn't exactly move around, so I just sat there and listened to her ramble on and on.

Dollie: I guess that's probably why she trusts me.

What exactly do you learn in the Imagenesis class?

Dollie: In the simplest terms, it's the craft of harnessing Wishpower.

Dollie: In this world, it takes Wishpower to do many things, not just create imagenae. Architecture, industry, medicine, agriculture, you name it... And imagenesis is the fundamental principle behind it all.

Dollie: Using Wishpower isn't just about having a brush and imagination to make things real. If students want their imagenated creations to actually have structure that makes sense and follows the rules of reality, they've still gotta hit the books on natural sciences.

Got any embarrassing stories about Himeko?

Dollie: Gossiping about your students' embarrassing moments to other people... That's gotta violate the teacher's code of ethics, I'd say!

Dollie: But then again... you know how there's always that trope in TV shows? The one where a student accidentally calls their teacher "Mom," and the whole class bursts out laughing?

Dollie: Well, that happened with Himeko, too~ Except, since it was Himeko, the whole class was dead silent. They were trying so hard not to laugh that their faces were turning purple. I was the only one laughing out loud, hahaha!

Dollie: After that, I had to be her punching bag for a whole month before she'd forgive me.

Dollie: Ahem... let's just leave it at that!
