Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer is an NPC aboard the Herta Space Station. He can be found in the Master Control Zone, across from the computer lab on the southeast side, upon completion of the Adventure Mission Sensitive Beings (III).

Profile

Maintenance Engineer, who declines to introduce himself by name, is the engineer in charge of maintaining the technology on Herta Space Station, including its service robots. Possibly due to a relationship with someone from his past, he has developed a gloomy demeanor and a nihilistic outlook on life.

Maintenance Engineer: Data relies upon a terminal service to sustain the will of the space station.

Maintenance Engineer: These are the truths that uphold the world. Those who fail to understand the laws of data are doomed to be deceived by the world.

Maintenance Engineer: The light in here isn't as harsh as it is in other cabins. It's nice.

Maintenance Engineer: ...Uh, but ih any of your devices needs fixing, then you can just call out the same as everyone else: "Hey, Mister Fix-it" or "Maintenance Dude" — either's fine.

What do you do around here? Don't you have to work?

Maintenance Engineer: My shift hasn't started yet, so those mortals will have to wait for rescue from their cold impersonal devices. These kinds of days are just so dull...
