MD-78-8, better known as 'Octyx', is a mechatron waitress of the Lovey Dovey Café. She has garnered a lot of wishpower due to the recent Phantasmoon Games, allowing her to stay active.
She has noted in the past to have deliberately allowed herself to fall apart to attract mechatron enthusiasts to rebuild her. Their wishpower in her revival in turn revives her and brings customers to the cafe. Octyx has noted that this has drawn more customers compared to her usual approach, but sees it as a positive.

- MD-78-8: Octyx's custom services include: emotional calibrations, happiness circuitry activation, heavy industrial ASMR, cognitive load buffering, divination predictions, future fluctuations and assorted fortunes...
- MD-78-8: Hmm... Some customers would spend a few system hours carefully examining the parts on my body. I really don't get what's so interesting about that...
- MD-78-8: But as long as you like it, then it's all good!
- How's business these days?
- MD-78-8: Well, it depends on whether it's peak season or off-season...
- MD-78-8: During the recent Phantasmoon Games, I've been suuuper~ busy! I collected way more Wishpower than usual. If it were actual gold coins, I'd be jingling with every step!
- MD-78-8: But most of the time, my Wishpower isn't enough to sustain life... For us mechatrons, if this continues, we'll slowly turn into 2D blueprints...
- MD-78-8: But I came up with a brilliant solution: Whenever I run low on Wishpower, I'd voluntarily break down into a pile of parts, lying on the ground in front of the coffee shop.
- MD-78-8: No mechatron enthusiast passing by would turn down a chance to build from scratch! While they were assembling my body, they already provided me with enough Wishpower!
- MD-78-8: Plus, these customers will bring in extra income for the coffee shop. Talk about killing two birds with one stone!
- MD-78-8: The only thing that's got me feeling down is... somehow this scheme's bringing in more customers than when I was actually working...
