Paris is a mission-exclusive NPC on Amphoreus. He can be encountered during Adventure Mission I Once Was In Arcadia.
Profile
Paris is a human resident of Okhema who fell in love with an unnamed Furiae Archer in the past. However, he was later seduced by Oenone, and ran away from Okhema, only to be killed later by the same Furiae Archer.
History
One day, Paris saved a Council of Elders member, Oenone, from the Black Tide, resulting in her giving him the Golden Thread of Rebirth, said to be crafted by Mnestia, the Romance Titan. At some point after rescuing Oenone, he was captured by the people of Castrum Kremnos during a war and intended to be sacrificed to the Nikador, the Titan of Strife.
While imprisoned, Paris meet a Furiae Archer, who was locked in prison for returning in defeat, which was considered shameful. The two managed to escape the prison,[Note 1] where Paris returned to Okhema with the Titankin. He convinced the officials to let her in as a refugee, which they reluctantly accepted. Paris would frequently speak with the Titankin and began to bond with her, which she appeared to reciprocate. While she still believed she was an instrument of war, she began to appreciate society and learned various skills with Paris' guidance.
Later on, following Nikador's descent into madness, it led its forces to Okhema. Paris was forcibly drafted to defend the city due to his age, but he was not a fighter and instead wished to desert. Before being sent off, Paris met someone[Note 1] and finally mustered the courage to propose to the Titankin. He wished to run away, while the Titankin wanted to fight alongside him in the frontlines. Paris convinced the Titankin to run away with him, and used the thread to tie each other before leaving, but as he prepared to do so, they ran into a group of Titankin that had ambushed Oenone and Philoc. The Titankin were defeated, however, Philoc was mortally wounded by them, and he cursed Paris and the Titankin before dying. Oenone then convinced him to abandon the Titankin, and believing that she had betrayed him, agreed with Oenone and cut the golden thread linking them together.
The Titankin, anguished and confused by Paris and his notion of romance, eventually gave in to her strife and later encountered Paris, subsequently killing him.[1]
