Nikador was one of the Titans on Amphoreus. Their Coreflame is Icon Coreflame Strife Strife.[5] In the previous cycle of Amphoreus, they were a demigod of Strife named Gnaeus.[6]

Description

They were born of peace and lead tranquility into chaos. They guide the destruction and survival of all things.

The Coreflame of "Strife" has been returned.

Nikador is the Titan of strife and competition. According to the mythology circulated among the Chrysos Heirs, they declared war on the gods and cast the world into endless strife. However, battles also took a toll on the god of war, as the divine body became corroded by the black tide, and they fell into endless madness. As their rage and ambition were never quelled, their Titankin legion still roams the land waging war against imaginary enemies.

Nikador is a noble warrior that wears pure white sacred armor. Legend has it that the Lance of Fury that they wield can raze even the most powerful and prosperous city to the ground. Their bloodthirsty temperament has also made them a god of blood and sacrifice. Warriors gather under them and yearn to follow Nikador into war and achieve an honorable death. Their disciples built a fortress known as Castrum Kremnos that brings turmoil and fear to the world, much like their god.

There was a time when this god of war was also a symbol of protection: Using extreme violence to extinguish strife and using war to maintain the balance of Amphoreus.

Profile

Nikador governs disputes and combat. Their divine form has been corrupted by the black tide, plunging them to madness, and they frequently leads their Titankin Legion to wage war against imagined foes.[7] Mydeimos is the conquerer of their Coreflame.[8]

History

Nikador was worshipped by the people of Castrum Kremnos in the past. When a Black Tide began to sweep across the planet, Nikador succumbed to it, and King Eurypon decided to split Nikador's divinity into several Sword Vessels. The vessels were created by the Mountain Dweller Chartonus with the finest stones in the city-state, along with Nikador's ichor. After several experiments on Nikador's Titankin, Eurypon proceeded to split Nikador's Courage, Honor, Tenacity, Sacrifice and Reason, driving the Titan insane and having no sense of honor. After Castrum Kremnos was destroyed, Nikador began leading its legions against humanity.[9]

When the Trailblazer and Dan Heng arrived on Amphoreus, they were attacked by Nikador, who destroyed the train car they were on. Dan Heng was severely wounded, while the Trailblazer "died" from injuries sustained during the attack. However, due to the "sky father's" gaze (confirmed to be Fuli), the Trailblazer survived in the form of a walking memory, though they were not aware of it until Oronyx told them so during their trial.[10]

After being discovered by Phainon and Tribbie, they were brought to Okhema, where Nikador's legions attempted to besiege the city. They ran into one of their vessels deep inside and defeated them, forcing the remaining forces to retreat.[11] Later on, the Trailblazer, Phainon and Mydei went into their castle to fight their true form, but because Nikador's soul was separated — namely their Reason in their madness, proved to be unkillable, and they soon discovered that they intended to attack Okhema and destroy Kephale's body.[9] This forced Mydei to remain behind to fight Nikador until a solution could be found.[12]

The Trailblazer and Castorice would later head to the past version of Kremnos during the final stages of the Chrysos Wars, where they met with a warrior named Gnaeus. After restoring Nikador's Courage, Honor, Tenacity, and Sacrifice through the Soul-Forging Ceremony, Gnaeus was revealed to be the embodiment of Nikador's ability to reason. He returned to his original form, restoring Nikador's divinity in the present, and he asked the group to grant him a death befitting of that of a warrior. Despite their many "deaths," Nikador attempted to attack Kephale, but careful planning by Aglaea and Tribbie blocked the attack. With their energy spent, Nikador dissipated away, leaving behind their Coreflame, which Phainon picked up. Castorice proceeded to speak with Nikador's remnants to see if they had seen Thanatos in order to reclaim what was stolen from her, but they did not.[9]

Nikador's Coreflame would be brought to the Vortex of Genesis, where Phainon attempted Nikador's trial to assume its divinity. After a brief rite, Phainon entered the trial, but did not come back as intended, resulting in Mydei, the Trailblazer and Dan Heng taking part to look for his soul. The trial arena consisted of strife regarding the participants' pasts; of these, both Mydei and Dan Heng were faced with memories of their past. Upon reuniting, they headed deeper inside, where they discovered that Nikador had planned the trials all along. Mydei fought Nikador's Titankin long enough to attract Phainon to their location, after which they left the trial.[13] Mydei would later complete the trials, becoming the new demigod of Strife.[14]

Abilities

Forms

Nikador has two forms:

Blade of Fury

Nikador, and by extension, their demigod Mydei, is able to command the Blade of Fury over Castrum Kremnos. When The Giver, Master of Legions, Lance of Fury uses "Fury Falls, and All Bows to Strife," they command the blade to fall over the targets, whose strike is described by Mydei to be able to obliterate worlds. The blade can also fire a massive laser beam as demonstrated by Nikador's last attack to Okhema and Kephale's body, which was warpped away by Tribbie's Century Gate.[9]

Titankins

The Strife Titankins are infused with Nikador's golden ichor:

In the Chisel Zone of "Bloodbathed Battlefront" Castrum Kremnos, the automated manufacture of the Strife Titankins can be observed.
