It's possible to teleport away from the New Prison Guard before initiating the cutscene, but A Study into the Mara-Struck will not be added to the Bookshelf as a result.
The name of this achievement is a reference to the novel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, authored by J. K. Rowling.
The dialogue during this achievement's progress refers to the fact that A Study into the Mara-Struck has been visible on the Bookshelf since Version 1.0, but was not obtainable until Version 2.4.
