- As the story unfolds, the main character finally sees her deceased loved ones, but by doing so, she's cast out of the realm and loses her power to return.
At the end of the movie, the sun rises and day returns. The girl says goodbye to her family and goes back to the world of the living. - Lucia stays locked into the story, watching it all the way through the credits...
