Dialogue
Take a look near the Ballet Twins
- (Idle)
- Hong: Why's that guy so mad?
- (Talk to Hong)
- Hong: Wow... Just a simple disagreement but this guy has to get mad about it?
What happened?

- Hong: Uh, I was just listening to old man Rhodes recount a few classic Hollows anecdotes, and I don't know what's going on but he suddenly got really fired up and mad...
What were you guys talking about?- Hong: It was nothing, just a few old topics. You ever heard of the Ballet troupe "The Twin Marionettes"?
I'm not sure...
Nope.- Hong: Mmm, that's the way it is. I mean, how many years ago was it now? The twin dancers were once the rising stars on the Janus Quarter dance scene! You were guaranteed a sold-out full house if they were ever on the card.
- Hong: Their last ever show was at the Ballet Twins... And that was also the day when the towers were engulfed by the Hollow.
- Hong: The audience all fled, but they kept performing to the bitter end and never made it out.
What a shame...- Hong: Yeah. But a little while back there was a Hollow Raider who took a photo of this strange black shadow figure around the Ballet Twins right where the sisters performed their dance that night, and they say it was flickering to the beat of their music... imitating their exact dance moves.
- Hong: Now there are rumors online about how the two marionettes inside the Ballet Twins Hollow might actually be connected somehow to the deceased sisters... And maybe the shadow is the soul of those sisters devoured by Ethereals performing the dance moves they remembered in life.
- Hong: I was just mentioning this urban legend, nothing more — but something about that triggered old man Rhodes. He yelled that all those rumors were fake, and started picking this big fight with me.
- Hong: *sigh* I don't know what exactly is going on there, but I always feel sorry whenever I trigger the old guy. Could you please ask him what it is he's so mad about?
- (Idle)
- Hong: It's a real head-scratcher.
- (Talk to Hong again, optional)
- Hong: I was just talking about hearsay online. Why's he gotta get so mad about it?
- Hong: Unless... That old guy is a loyal fan of the twin dancers?
Ask Rhodes why he argued
- (Idle)
- Rhodes: What a load of bull...
- (Talk to Rhodes)
- Rhodes: *sigh* What is wrong with young people nowadays? Always believing whatever baloney they read about online, that really gets my goat.
What's wrong?- Rhodes: That guy Hong, he's always going on about the souls of the twin dancers being devoured by Ethereals... It's just a load of baloney!
- Rhodes: Alas, I'm but an old-timer now who can't bear to listen to such heartless words. The sisters have long passed now, so can't we let them rest in peace? Do you have to listen to all those nasty rumors?
Are you a fan of theirs?
- Rhodes: Of course! Every one of their performances is etched into my mind!
Yeah, he really shouldn't be talking about them like that...- Rhodes: Indeed! When I heard him, I quivered with rage. If it weren't for this ticker of mine, I'd have given him what-for!
- Rhodes: Back when they were still with us, there were all these paparazzi who'd fabricate lies about the twins' lives. Who would've thought that after passing, they would be treated as a pastime to constantly gossip about.
- Rhodes: The more I think about it, the angrier I get... Hmm? Hang on, that's set my ticker going again.
Calm down, sir. Cool down, okay!
I'm going to call the ambulance!- Rhodes: Whew... haaa... It's fine. I'm just a little mad. I'll go back and take a few pills, it'll be fine.
- Rhodes: *sigh* Speaking of which, their birthday is coming up. I only came to visit the Ballet Twins today to take a gander at their final resting place but it seems to me that there isn't a decent person around here.
- Rhodes: Nobody wants to chat with me about them... *sigh* I'd better get back home, then. At least I've got a Bangboo there who's willing to listen to me grumble and groan.
My name's (WiseWise / BelleBelle). You can find me on Sixth Street!
If you get the chance, come find me on Sixth Street for a chat!- Rhodes: Ahh... Aren't you (good young lad!good young lad! /
a good young lass!a good young lass!) - Rhodes: Once I'm feeling better, I'll stop by Sixth Street then! Why don't I bring in some old photos for you, hmm!
Chat with Old Man Rhodes
- (Idle)
- Rhodes: *sigh* It sure is nice here.
- (Talk to Rhodes outside Random Play)
- Rhodes: Ahoy, (WiseWise /
BelleBelle). It sure is nice in here... Really lively! - Rhodes: I used to argue with people at the Ballet Twins, then coop myself up at home, resting all day after that. My whole mood has perked up after shuffling around with you today. As they say, there's nothing that can't be fixed with a walk.
You feeling better now?- Rhodes: Haha, I'm in a terrific mood right now! Exceedingly well!
- Rhodes: I told you I'd bring some old photos along. Well, how about these then — I've got something to show you.
- Rhodes: *sigh*...Look at that, my granddaughters. How cute are they? If they were still with us today, they'd love this place of yours!
Your... granddaughters?- Rhodes: *sigh*...I'm sorry. There was a lot going on back at the Ballet Twins before and I wasn't feeling too well so I didn't have time to tell you.
- Rhodes: In fact, those twin dancers Augilia and Augetta — they were my granddaughters who I brought up since they were knee-high to a grasshopper.
Is that so?
Oh...- Rhodes: Haha, surprised? Ever since they made it big, this old-timer's been scared of embarrassing his girls so I don't usually tell people about it. They were also worried about those reporters bugging me so they didn't ever mention my situation.
- Rhodes: Even though they gave me tickets to their shows, I wasn't well and could only watch them on TV. That was enough to keep me happy.
- Rhodes: Until that morning, when I flicked on the telly and all the news stations were broadcasting about the catastrophe at the Ballet Twins... and their names were among the missing.
- Rhodes: My mind was buzzing once I saw that, and I can't remember anything afterward. But I do remember wall-to-wall coverage at the time, with everyone gibbering on about it. They weren't that famous back when they were still with us.
- Rhodes: But after a few days, it's like everyone's forgotten about them again. The headlines gradually slowed down to a stop, and the media got back to the latest celebrity gossip. That's when I stopped watching TV for good.
- Rhodes: Later on, some big label my granddaughters signed with came up to me wanting something for "breach of contract" or whatever. Everything they said was so over my head I can't even remember... But I had to stump up for my girls' debts. I can't let anyone try and besmirch their honor.
- Rhodes: I've been working security by day and in the supermarket by night to pay it off, and I can't remember what I get up to every day... When I vaguely come to my senses every now and again, another few years have passed by.
No way...- Rhodes: That's life. But now things are better: I took out a loan and got a second-hand Bangboo; I picked up a rescue dog; and we eat meat once a week. We're a happy and noisy little family! Haha!
- Rhodes: It's just that my health has been getting worse and worse lately, and for some reason I keep dreaming about my granddaughters crying inside that tower in the Hollows, looking for their grandpa... They've always been afraid of the dark.
- Rhodes: I figured I'd better put my legs to good use while I still can, and take a stroll around the Ballet Twins. But I couldn't help bickering with anyone I met. *sigh* It's time for this old-timer to change his grumpy ways.
Anything else I can help you with?- Rhodes: Thank you, (WiseWise /
BelleBelle). You're such a kind-hearted kid. Don't be a fool and get messed up in this old-timer's mess, you're kind enough as it is. - Rhodes: This photo, keep it as a souvenir. If you ever find some old photographs or videos of the Ballet Twins, you give me a call y'hear?
- Rhodes: To this day I always wondered what the inside of the Ballet Twins was like; how hard it was for them in their final moments... *sigh*
- (Receive commission Yesterday's Stage (I))
Go to the Ballet Twins Hollow and record a video of the old theater
- Main article: Yesterday's Stage (I)
- (Idle)
- Rhodes: I should get back home and take my medicine...
- (Talk to Rhodes again, optional)
- Rhodes: *sigh* I wish I could go and see for myself the site of their final show.
- Rhodes: But the Ballet Twins have been engulfed inside a Hollow and I'm afraid these old bones of mine won't ever get the chance to go in and take a look for myself.
- Rhodes: However... Even some basic photographs of that place would be fine. At least give me something to think about.
Chat with Old Man Rhodes about the Hollow video
- (Idle)
- Rhodes: I see... So that's how it looks inside!
- (Talk to Rhodes in the video store)
- Rhodes: Young Manager, I just received a video of the Ballet Twins stage!
- Rhodes: Is that... from you?
Ahem, you could say so.
Share that with nobody, alright?- Rhodes: Ooh! Ah! Youths... Incredible what you can do today!
- Rhodes: Really... Thank you... I never thought I'd ever meet a kid as kind as you are...
- (Rhodes trembles, his lips taut as he fights back tears.)
Please calm down!
Was a piece of cake.- Rhodes: *sigh* Their final ever show... I didn't get to see it. And to this day, I still haven't been to tend to their graves.
- Rhodes: With this video you sent me, I can look at it whenever I like and feel much better!
- Rhodes: However, it sounds like there's several strange noises in this video... Or am I just an old man hearing things, ha?
Is it static?
- Rhodes: Really? I always felt as though it was really familiar though... Almost like it was one of my granddaughters' voices!
Probably hearing things...
- Rhodes: Really? I always felt as though it was really familiar though... Almost like it was one of my granddaughters' voices!
You're right.
- Rhodes: Really? I knew I wasn't hearing things! Manager, I always felt as though that voice was familiar; it's almost the same as my granddaughters'!
- Rhodes: Could it be... That they are still alive? Otherwise how could their voices be there inside the Hollow?
Please calm down!- Rhodes: *sigh* ...Haha, I shouldn't have said all this baloney. Hope I've put a smile on your face, Manager.
- Rhodes: I'll go back and listen out very carefully now. Maybe I'm getting too old, and maybe I'm hearing things.
- Rhodes: Anyway, thank you very much! *sigh* It's rare these days to see a kid like you around that's so kind-hearted...
- (Idle)
- Rhodes: That voice... It sounds just like...
- (Talk to Rhodes again, optional)
- Rhodes: I always felt like that was one of my granddaughters' voices.
- Rhodes: Just thinking of them helpless and alone out there makes me feel terrible... If there was any way I could go into the Ballet Twins to take a look, that would be fantastic...
