Self-Defense

Last updated 2025-09-24

Self-Defense is a Battleboo and an event-exclusive NPC.

Profile

Self-Defense is a diligent Bangboo who was quickly able to discern what problems Goldword was suffering from. It is also very stricty with its training as a member of the New Eridu Defense Force, desiring only the hardest training it can get.

History

Self-Defense originally trained under Seed, and was initially scared of her due to her confusing and incorrect use of Bangboo language. However over time it realized that it was misunderstanding her, and warmed up to her significantly, greatly appreciating the lengths she would go to to help it and its fellow Bangboo in their training, even at the cost of her own off time.

During a Marcel Group assessment ran by Coach Aster, Phaethon had to step in to train Self-Defense, Withdraw and Gaming Pro as Seed was occupied with other missions. During this time, a Bangboo named Goldword joined the assessment, but its manner of speech scared the trio and they wanted to avoid it. After some training together, Self-Defense realized that something was amiss, as Goldword was nothing but cooperative and helpful during the assessment. It's original misgivings about Seed came to mind, and so it approached Goldword directly, and discovered its language module had been damaged, causing its stuttered speech. Realizing this was a misunderstanding, Self-Defense explained the situation to Phaethon, whoe repaired the language module.

The misunderstanding cleared up, the four Bangboo worked together to finish their exams.
