Xiaoyan

Xiaoyan is a commission-exclusive NPC who first appears during the Season 2 Interlude: Encore for an Old Dream.

Profile

Xiaoyan once worked as the manager of the Angels of Delusion at their original agency. She is noted as being like a "gentle older sister" when Phaethon first encounters them.

History

While working at the manager for the Angels of Delusion, she made sure to take care of all three, and was deeply proud of them as they developed. After the agency closed down, she was reached out to by Cecilia, who was interested in finding out what happened to Aria after the two originally parted ways.^[1]

Xiaoyan wouldn't see the angels for several years, until they came to her to give her an invitation to their first ever live performance. She gladly accepted, and tried to pep talk Aria, who was having serious issues regarding her nature as an Intelligent Construct and her relationship with Cecilia. In the process, she inadvertently revealed to Aria that Cecilia and Lady Cersea - the singer that Aria had served as the replacement voice for in the past, were actually the same people, which only further caused Aria to spiral.

While Xiaoyan would leave with great concern, by the time she went to see their performance, Nangong and Sunna had helped Aria recover her confidence and reaffirm her relationship with Cecilia, leaving her to watch the angels with pride, while also complimenting Phaethon for the support they had given the girls.^[2]

Sometime after, while the Angels were helping Streamer K with his food truck, Xiaoyan would be one among many of the delulus to come and see their efforts.^[3]
