Amuru

Amuru is a quest-exclusive NPC who first appears in the Archon Quest Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame in Chapter V: Act I - Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn.

Profile

Amuru is a longtime participant in the Pilgrimage of the Return of the Sacred Flame, with a longstanding rivalry with fellow Children of Echoes member Nkunga.^[2] During Chapter V, Amuru is eliminated in the team stage after being defeated by Kachina and Mualani, much to the former's amazement.^[3]

Around the time the Traveler heads to Snezhnaya, Amuru sends his daughter Little Pinecone and her friend Flammabomb Wood Figure to Snezhnaya by themselves for some "serious training" by meeting warriors from other nations. The two end up meeting Chichikova, Da Xi'er, and the Traveler during the event Mutual Aid in Bloom: Into the Frostlands.^[1]

Appearance

Amuru has the standard appearance of a Tepetlisaurus Warrior: Rockbreaker Blade.

Trivia

Etymology

• His title, "Sand Dagger of Seit'aad," is derived from the Navajo (Diné) name Séít'áád, meaning "Boiling Dunes."^[4] In the Diné Bahaneʼ, a Navajo creation story, the Séít'áád is a sand monster which either buries its victims in sand dunes or burns them into ashes.
