Apocalypse Lost is a World Quest Series in Sumeru.
Requirements: Complete World Quest Series The Dirge of Bilqis and World Quest The Fallen Falcon
Prerequisites
In order to start the quest series, the player must find all 5 Chess Pieces, of which 4 can be found while completing The Dirge of Bilqis.
- King Deshret's Pillar (unlocked during The Temple Where Sand Flows Like Tears)
- Border Fort (unlocked during Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part I)
- Soulferry (unlocked during Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part II)
- Khaj-Nisut (unlocked during Dune-Entombed Fecundity: Part III)
- Temple of Gurabad (acquired while progressing through "The Falcon's Hunt")
The chess pieces must then be placed in the glowing platforms at Safhe Shatranj during the Hidden Exploration Objective Chessboard of Safhe Shatranj, which will trigger the initial portion of the quest-chain.

Summary
The Traveler collects and places all five Chess Pieces on the Chessboard of Safhe Shatranj, revealing that Liloupar was once the queen of the Jinn in the city of Gurabad. She married a human leader named Ormazd, who united the desert people, but realized he was a tyrant. In an act of vengeance, she plotted against him and her own family, eventually leading to the city's destruction. Liloupar's actions, including unleashing a black plague using the power of the Abyss, led to widespread devastation. Parvezravan (her son) and many inhabitants of Gurabad were transformed into monsters, and the city ultimately fell into a chasm. The Traveler helps Liloupar come to terms with her dark past and regrets. Liloupar chooses to free herself from her contract with the Traveler to confront her "dark and distant destiny" and disappear, bringing her long, tragic story to a close.
