Eichi Karasawa is a mentioned character in Genshin Impact and was a member of the Narzissenkreuz Ordo.

Profile

Eichi Karasawa was a scholar from Inazuma who lived around 500 years ago. During his time in Fontaine he became a formal member of the Narzissenkreuz Ordo with clearance level 1.[1]

Later, he also became quite famous as a romance novelist, incorporating hidden Remurian riddles into his work. His success was intimately related to the Ordo's research.[1]

Trivia

  • During The Final Judgment, Zeitlind mentions a section of one of Karasawa's novels: "The savior offers themself in a world of darkness, willingly bound upon the cross. Only then is their soul redeemed, ascending into the kingdom of light."[2]
  • Karasawa is also credited in Perinheri for assisting the author with natural history and miscellaneous studies.

Historical References

  • "Eichi Karasawa" was probably inspired by Shibusawa Eiichi, a Japanese industrialist who introduced Western capitalism to Japan after the Meiji Restoration, typically considered the "father of Japanese capitalism". Shibusawa is also credited with the formation of the first modern bank in Japan, as well as the creation of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
