Favonius Falcon's Recon Log is a part of the Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind event.

It is unlocked by completing the Event World Quest Gliding Challenge: New Heights in Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind and accessed from the icon by talking to Eija.

Tutorial

In Favonius Falcon's Recon Log, the Traveler must command Vesper the falcon to fly along a designated route and launch projectiles from an alchemical backpack to hit targets along the way.
The more targets destroyed, the more Trial Coins earned, and the higher the flight score upon completing the challenge.

During the flight, there will be multiple perspective changes. In the tracking view, when using a mouse, hold the left mouse button to keep firing, and drag the mouse to adjust the firing direction.

In the top-down view, the falcon will automatically target objects directly ahead.

When the falcon comes into contact with the Monster Targets, Elite Monster Targets, and the Monstrous Bullets they unleash, you will lose action points. Coming into contact with Elite Monster Targets causes you to lose more action points.
Once action points are depleted, the challenge fails, so it's crucial to plan the flight path carefully and avoid dangers.

During the challenge, in addition to the Trial Coins that increase your score, there are various pieces of enhancing equipment. Defeating Elite Monster Targets might make them drop the enhancing equipment. Pick them up to obtain combat buffs.

After obtaining the Homing Shell, it will automatically lock onto all targets for a period of time. When firing, it will attack all targets within the line of sight.

After obtaining the Cyclone Shield, multiple wind vortexes will be created around the falcon, dealing DMG to any Monstrous Bullets and targets they come into contact with.

After obtaining Linear Strike, the falcon's alchemical backpack will be charged. When actively released, it will deal DMG to Monstrous Bullets and targets in a straight line ahead.

Due to the intense training, the falcon's alchemical backpack is in an unstable state. You may encounter some unexpected situations during the flight...
