Kandinsky (Russian: Кандинский Kandinskiy) is an open-world NPC located in Snezhnaya. He can be found talking to Bely on board of a train that can be summoned in Central Station, Morepesok and Rankova Zorya.

- Kandinsky: Well, isn't that a coincidence? I know a thing or two about painting myself. What are you planning to paint this time?
- Bely: The Tsar's White Birch. I'm still looking for the right spot.
- Kandinsky: That, huh? Good choice. Have you thought about the technique yet — or rather, the style? Though take my advice: don't follow the Abstractists.
- Kandinsky: I'm an abstract painter myself, and I'd like to think I've accomplished a little in the arts... But not long ago in Snezhnograd, a child pointed at one of my paintings and said,
- Kandinsky: "What is this supposed to be? Is the painter okay? It looks like something my little brother scribbled. He's three, by the way."
- Kandinsky: Can you believe it? They looked at my work and saw a three-year-old's mess — then had the nerve to worry about me!
- Kandinsky: I should never have become an abstract painter. No one understands my style, and some people really do take me for a fool!
- Bely: Maybe you could change your approach. My teacher says there's still a good market for ordinary landscapes and portraits.
- Kandinsky: Art reduced to consumer goods, made only to please the masses! Hah. With my skill, I could sell those well enough. Maybe not make a fortune, but certainly make a living.
- Kandinsky: But if I did, wouldn't I have killed the painter in me? You're chasing something in art too. You understand what I mean, don't you?
- Bely: Feelings aside, my main concern right now is finishing my assignment on the Tsar's White Birch.
- Bely: While I focus on my own work, perhaps you could think over your own decision. Quietly, of course.
