Last updated 2026-08-29

Larisa is a historical character in Genshin Impact.

Profile

Larisa was a Snegurochka of the House of Hesperides and a candidate for the seat of Grand Duchess of the Snegurochka, contending for it against Pavlina.[1] Her kin regarded her as the most pure-minded among them,[2] and even Pavlina called her "a Snegovik amongst Snegovik, ever so perfect and impeccable."[3]

She was accomplished in Prime Ice artisanry, which Pavlina conceded was equal to her own, and surpassed Pavlina in ceremony and etiquette. Even the previous Grand Duchess, the harshest judge among the Snegurochka, praised her for it.[3] She tended the plants at the Garden Bathed in Radiant Dew, which thrived under her care,[4] and wielded a sword.[2]

Appearance

No clear description of her appearance is given, though her kin considered her the most beautiful among them.[2]

Story

The Snegovik ancestor Yalyane Morevna had decreed that whoever became Grand Duchess must possess a complete soul. Larisa therefore sought love, the only means by which a Snegovik may attain one. When Pavlina, who vied with Larisa for the position, asked Larisa whether she lived for love alone, Larisa answered that to her the greatest misfortune in the world is to love no one at all.[3]

She eventually chose a human man and brought him to the House of Hesperides, radiating with joy. Many praised him as handsome and thought the two well matched. Only Pavlina found him vulgar and resented the pairing.[3]

During the wedding, the man had second thoughts and fled partway through the ritual, abandoning Larisa.[3] The betrayal was witnessed by all present and cost her both her soul and her life.[2] In her final hours, her Prime Ice magic combined with her fury raised a blizzard that killed her betrothed. It froze bolts of lightning mid-fall and stilled the clouds and thunder around her, forming the Frozen Fulgurbranch and the Cloudborne Palace.[3][5] Pavlina raced toward her through the storm, but Larisa's body had already grown fragile, and she dissolved into snow-foam upon the wind.[3] Her kin remembered her and her death as beautiful, and as something to be proud of.[2]

Pavlina later swore upon the sword Larisa left behind that her own wedding to Ikhor would succeed. She also used Larisa's fate to justify sacrificing the power within him to give her kin souls.[2]
