Dialogue
- Makani Khagan: I am the Great Khagan who rules the Seven Realms, Lord of the Deshret, King Makani. It is your honor to be granted an audience with me this day.
Uh... was there actually a king like that in history?
- Makani Khagan: What? Have you truly never read my name among the inscriptions carved upon the obelisks? Has history grown so blind as to favor my vanquished cur, Humayun, over the King who broke him?
- Makani Khagan: Hmph. I should have known those poets and scribes I fed were but fawning pretenders, gorging themselves on my favor while leaving my legacy to rot. I should have executed them all back then.
Considering the muddled history of the desert, that's hardly a surprise.
- Makani Khagan: A pity you never beheld the might of our legions, spreading like black clouds across the horizon, nor our banners, blooming like a crimson dawn. And the thrones we trampled to dust beneath our horses' hooves.
- Makani Khagan: To think that such a glorious reign was but a passing mist, forgotten by the world... unlike those frail lords of Tulaytullah, who have poets to sing their praises even now.
Your humble servant takes leave.
- Makani Khagan: Ha! You possess a keen sense of decorum. I find your conduct quite pleasing.
Trivia
- Makani Khagan may be named after Muqan Qaghan, the third ruling Khagan of the First Turkic Khaganate.
